Can anybody explain the difference in points at BWV between the preferred and standard?

Thanks!

The standard rooms are mostly along the front driveway facing the parking lot (although it's pretty far away). Preferred is broken up into 2 subcategories - pool/garden view and boardwalk view. They will tell you what is available when you call. About 20% of the rooms are standard view, 20% preferred boardwalk, 60% preferred pool/garden. This only applies to points reservations. CRO does not book separate views, it's all one price.

I stayed in a SV 2br in Dec and loved it! Had a nice view of Illuminations high fireworks over the BWI. We were directly across from the taxi/bus stand on the 5th floor and didn't find the noise objectionable at all. Didn't hear it when the doors were shut and even when on the deck, it wasn't bothersome.

There is a nice difference in points between SV and PV. I'll do the SV from now on!

The first few times we stayed at BWV, our home resort, we used more points because we thought we'd be missing something if we didn't have the best view possible. We had a nice room (5001) with a great view of the lake and the boardwalk, but a very long walk from the elevator. Then 2 years ago we tried a Standard view and we were so pleasantly surprised. We looked down upon the main entry into BWV, but had a spectacular view of Illuminations. Therefore, we went with a Standard view last trip and also had a great room. I think the Standard view is well worth it for the points you can save. Have fun!

I like saving points using standard views, or staying at OKW where the point charts are equal to BWV standard. It is our way of getting the most out of our points. We always rent 2BR's and we don't like to move on the weekends.
