this has probably been asked but here i go.

on the points calculator i notice there is a standard view and a preferred view for the boardwalk. is the preferred view a boardwalk view?

thanks
jen

It can be a Boardwalk view, although you have to request it and it will be confirmed when making your ressie if they have it available or not. Other views include the pool or the canal.

thank you when should you ask for the boardwalk view. when you do the reservation or closer to your checkin date.

thank you jen

Recently changed our ressie in Oct from VWL to BWV.
On the confirmation it says "STUDIO GARDEN/POOL VIEW"
What garden and what pool?

This will be our first stay at BWV.

BTW, where did all the BWV snobs go  ;)

They seem to be less vocal now that BCV is open.

Maybe SSR will have a similar effect on Rich and all the OKW snobs   ;) ;)

Personally I think we need to convene a VWL snob meeting asap.
I vote for holding it in the 5th floor Member Hall at VWL

You definitely need to request the Boardwalk View at the time of your ressie. BWV is the only resort (I believe) that guarantees a specific request for a view room (this just started last year). If you already have a ressie, call MS on Monday and see if they can switch you to a Boardwalk view. It is the same points as any other preffered view room, but you do have to confirm the view.

I am not sure that they are specific on which pool or garden, it will be decided when the assign the rooms. If you want a specific pool (like the quiet pool for instance) than you should request that, and like all other requests, they will do their best but it is not guaranteed.

Would one be closer to the elevators than the others? Like would a Boardwalk view be closer to the elevator than a Pool view?

Just curious as we have ressies in May and I didn't specify either. I just wanted to make sure we don't get a handicapped room. We have a toddler and they tried to give us one at BCV, and it was not fun(everything-stove knobs included) is at his height. No way that would have been a good vacation. I also don't feel right because what if someone was handicapped was checking in at the last minute on cash and needed that room. But I digress....

disynut,

I don't think one view or another would guarantee any closer to an elevator, however, a few weeks ago we had the very last room in the hallway!! Not fun at all walking that hallway everyday. I would add close the the elevators as one of your requests. It will obviously increase your chances of getting closer to the elevator, and since you have no other requests (except non-handicapped) I would think you would have a good shot at it.
Good luck:cool:
