Preferred vs. Standard room?

Is paying for a Preferred room worth the extra money for a stay at POR or will Standard view be just as good?

go for a standard - then ask to be in the middle of your building - so the bus stops and food court are about the same distance - just in opposite ways - okay this only works for Magnolia terrace - building 85.

We paid for preferred and the only thing it got us was our door opened out towards the river. We never sat and looked and enjoyed the view, we were too busy at the parks, we wish we would have saved a few bucks and booked standard!
