Preferred rooms

Ive seen people talk about different rooms in different resorts as either standard or prefered especially at the boardwalk. Do they charge more points then on the chart tables for preferred rooms.

The BWV is the only DVC resort that charges a different amount of points for "views". All the other DVCs have just one "charging category". If you spend a little time browsing the points charts - links are at the top of the page, you'll see what I mean.


Some of the other DVC resorts have separate "booking categories", though. The rooms cost the same number of points, but the unit layouts are different. For example, you might get a 2 bedroom lock off unit or a dedicated 2 bedroom unit. At the BCV, you can get a dedicated 2 bedroom that has two queen beds in the 2nd bedroom, or you can get a 2 bedroom with 1 queen bed and a sleep sofa in the 2nd bedroom.
