Preferred Room Upgrade-ASMo

In your opinion, is the Preferred room upgrade option at the All Star Movies resort worth the extra $66?
I am booking for my family and I want to get them the good rooms, but if it doesn't make much difference, I'll save them the money.

It depends if won't be close to the Food Courts then say it's worth. If lazy I like i am I paid extra 10 bucks to be close to the food court and bus.

we stayed in the Dalmation Bldg. at movies. it was right beside Fantasia which is preferred. I felt we were like 1 - 2 min. closer walk (ha ha ) . Really it is not a bad walk from any of the bldgs. its fun to look around at them all. We were like i said 2 min. walk to pool,food court. Its a great hotel.........

We stayed in Toy story in Oct 2004. It and dalmations are just about as close as Fantasia is to the lobby, food court, bus stops. Fantasia is a little closer to the pools, depending on which actual building you got.

The decision you really have is to consider, are you going during a busy time of year or not. If not, just reserve a standard room and ask for a preference of the Toy story or Dalmations buildings and you should get it. If it's a busy time and you really want to guarantee that you are close to all that stuff, then you had better reserve the preferred Fantasia rooms.

When we checked in we had preferences for connecting rooms and for toy story building, we initially got the Herbie building, that was the only one with connecting rooms left. We didn't really need the connecting rooms as much as we wanted to be close to the bus, lobby, food court. The CM was great and after a few minutes we got Toy Story building, two rooms next door to each other. So even when you check in if what you get isn't exactly what you wanted, it doesn't hurt to ask, especially if it is a slower time of the year for Disney.
