What is your preferred dining rotation, and why? Is it "better" to be certain dining rooms on particular nights? TIA!

Edit: we're booked for a 7 night Eastern cruise

I like to save Animator's Palate (my favorite MDR) for last. I asked my TA to request whatever rotation has Animator's Palate as the last one and she did that for me. :)

If you don't get your preferred rotation don't worry. We've been in Animator's for Formal Night and Enchanted Garden for Pirate Night and it was all good. :)

Exactly. We've never requested a specific rotation and have, basically, been in most of the different MDRs on all the different nights - Pirate night, as well as formal night, in Animator's really feels no different than Pirate night in Triton's, in my opinion.

The fact is everyone onboard will be assigned to a rotation that has them dining in all the MDRs, with the same menu options during the course of the cruise. It's my belief that matching dining companions is much easier (making better matches) if DCL is not constrained by requests for specific rotations. I could be wrong.

I got that part but when I call to request do I just say "starting enchanted garden"?

Yes. "I would like to request the dining rotation that begins in Enchanted Garden."

I request the rotation that has me in AP on Pirate Night because that gives me three dinners in there! :)

This never occurred to me! Good idea...hmmm.....

Seriously, if I could just somehow do a tour of Animator's Palate, I'd be all over that. :)

Our rotation had us in AP on Pirates Night, which to me is incredibly cool in that they utilize the screens to show pirate artwork and various concept art. We also started/ended in AP which is a great intro to Disney at the beginning and farewell to Disney at the end! I don't plan on requesting rotations in the future but we certainly enjoyed ours :)

We had RAERRAE for our Fantasy 7-night. Are ERAEERA and AERAAER the two other possibilities, or are there other variations?

No the order of the dining rooms is Royal Court, followed by Animator's, followed by Enchanted Garden, repeat. With the rotation being 1231123. Only possibilities are RAERRAE; AERAAER; AND ERAEERA.

Agree done that it was nice.

I would say requesting is important, for example with Remy and Palo opt outs it's important not to miss the AP shows.

Not true if you book Palo or Remy dinners then you will miss something, if choosing a rotation you can ensure you drop the menus or MDRs you are not so bothered about.

I prefer to start with Animator's Palette. This way you get that restaurant on the first and last nights, as well as pirate night. I then like to schedule Palo for formal or semi-formal night, so we don't have to dress up a third night.

So there is no AERAERA?

That's the rotation we had last August.

I'm sailing this August on the Fantasy Eastern A and thought I had requested that, but maybe I wasn't clear to the CM on the phone if it isn't an option. If so, I'll want to call and request an available rotation!
