Preferred dining rotation on Fantasy?

So there is no AERAERA?
Different itineraries have different rotations. Fantasy, at least at the time we cruised her, had 1231231 (ERAERAE; RAERAER; AERAERA) on our Eastern cruise, and 1231223 (ERAERRA; RAERAAE; AERAEER) on our Western cruise. I think I read that the Western cruise rotation has changed, however.

Uh oh. This is very important to us and it looks like I may have messed up! Calling now....thanks for the info. So glad this came up in this thread, otherwise I would have gotten a very disappointing surprise on embarkation day.

Thanks for all the info. So, does anyone know if pirate night on the Fantasy (eastern) is still night #4?

In looking at recent Navigators (March) the Eastern B itinerary seems to have Pirate night on night 5. While the C itinerary has it on night 4. The most recent A itinerary I found (Sep) has it on night 4.

I like to start in Enchanted garden. You then hit formal night in Royal Court.

But then doesn't that put you in Animator's Palate for the 2nd formal night?

In another thread, it was said that the major difference is that when you have Animator's Palate on Night 5, 6, or 7, you get a dumbed down menu that night, rather than the usual menu for that night. So something to keep in mind. Do you want a dumbed down menu for Prince and Princess night (Night 5), for the 2nd formal night (Night 6, I assume it still has the lobster), or for the See You Again Soon Night (Night 7).

The rotations for a 7 night Eastern on the Fantasy are either AERAERA, ERAERAE, or RAERAER. All seem to have their advantages and disadvantages. Pirate night is Night 4, and the formal nights are Nights 2 and 6.

Not really "dumbed down", but there isn't a choice on the appetizer/soup courses that night. The entrees are same as usual.

I don't pay much attention to the menus as they're always good! But I'm obviously missing something. Why does the menu vary in AP those nights as opposed to other MDRs?

The second visit to AP (except for those whose second visit is Pirate Night) is the Animation Magic show. The thinking when it was set up was that people would need the time normally used for ordering and serving appetizers and soups (from various offerings) to make their drawings and the servers picking them up to be used later in the dinner service for the show. So, on those nights, the appetizer and soup courses have only one option. The menu is the same menu as the other MDRs, but the other MDRs have the larger choice for those courses.
The entrée page remains the same.

For us the dessert choices were limited as well.

To me it feels "dumbed down". I often like the appetizers better than the entrees and the ones they serve on the night they have the Animation show really did not impress me at all. I know that on my next cruise I will skip that second dinner at AP in favor of Palo or Remy.

It is possible for someone to list the possible rotations along with the coordination night (i.e. pirate, formal, etc). I had no idea requesting a rotation was even an option

I'm on the June 20th Fantasy EC cruise. Our pirate night is night 4, which is the St. Maarten day.

Not sure if this is what you're asking, but you can say "Want to be in Enchanted Garden for Pirate Night" or "Don't want to be in Animator's Palate for formal night".

Different itineraries have different rotations (see posts #21 & #24 here).

That helps. My preferance is to be in Royal Court for Formal Night, but that would give me 3 Enchanted Garden and that's our least favorite. :(

Same for us, so we went with 3 nights in AP for August. That puts us in E for formal night and R for semi- formal, but that seems a fair compromise. We'll see what we think of it soon enough.

I am staying in Concierge on the Oct 31 Fantasy sailing / western caribbean. I've already decided I'd like to do PALO on pirate night as my hubby and I aren't into large crowds/ dressing up, etc.... so what would be a nice rotation to request for us? I'm thinking I'd like to be in the nicer dining room for formal night? (RC??) but I am not really sure what to ask for/ or how this works. Thanks for any suggestions!

Just let the Concierge people know you want XXX Main Dining Room for formal night. On the Fantasy Royal Court is the more fancy dining room in most people's opinion. Enchanted Garden would be next.

I'm sailing this August on the Fantasy Eastern A and thought I had requested that, but maybe I wasn't clear to the CM on the phone if it isn't an option. If so, I'll want to call and request an available rotation

I think we'll know for sure when the Fantasy returns to the Eastern A itinerary on the May 23 sailing. Hopefully someone on that cruise will enlighten us on the rotation. I'm sailing in July.

I did call DCL yesterday and confirmed that would be our rotation for the August 1 sailing, so I assume that will apply beginning May 23, as well.
