I read that it has nothing to do with ratings, but that it is a really expensive show to produce. Too many people, too many salaries (although they are forever adding people). I also read there are rumors of a spin off for the new network. I was thinking it would probably be Lucy and Kevin, but they would have to move away otherwise it would be a little weird.

oh and i found this online about maybe a "spinoff" The 10th — and apparently final — season of 7th Heaven is here! 7th Heaven is now the longest-running family drama in TV history. In the February sweeps period that just ended, the show was still at the very top of the WB Network's ratings, but the official word is still that this will be 7th Heaven's final season, with the series finale airing in late May. You may have heard rumors of a continuation of the show, or a spinoff, on the newly-created CW Network, but so far they are just rumors. We'll report anything new as it comes up.

7th Heaven hasn't been on here in over 3 weeks. Is it on hiatus? Or maybe my cable provider just isn't carrying it anymore!!
Anyone know if it is still on?
I hope it comes back, I really want to see the series finale!

If it is still on, has anything exciting happened the last few weeks?
The last one I saw was when Ruthie cut school and spent the day with her mom, and Lucy found out she was pregant.

Has anybody thought about how if Sam and David were better actors, the show might be able to continue? By their age, Ruthie was carrying certain episodes. Those boys are just awful...now way could any episodes be centered around them.

What kills me is how much effort the writers go to so that those 2 boys have the exact same number of lines. It must be written into the boys' contracts or something. Anyway, it always goes something like this:

Sam: Dad, you promised to drive us to school.

David: Yeah, you promised.

Eric (dad): OK, let's go.

David: School is fun.

Sam: Yeah, it's fun.

David: Bye, Mom.

Sam: Yeah, bye, Mom.

Pretty annoying stuff, all things considered.

I am hoping for a Simon/Sandy and Ruthie/Martin pairing. I just do not like Rose. I really hope Matt comes back at least one more time, but he has a new show starting soon for another network.

they never really said, just kept going to her and then back to him. and then rose called her and they ended it like that

well not much went on, ruthie got a new cell phone and no one has called her, so her dad made a few phone calls and now everyone is calling her. she made out with peter and martins old friend mac called her to take her out.

We are not really sure what is going on with simon and rose

Silly cell phone episode. I can see RUTHIE talking on the phone non-stop, but why didn't the adults just leave the things off?! And yes, I've had my same cell phone number for years and get very few calls on it. Did they immediately pass out their cell phone numbers to everyone they even remotely know?
