Pre-Trip Report for Three Princesses and a June Trip to the World, 6/24 We're Back!!

I had a little date with the laminator this week. Yes sireee I did! :thumbsup2

First, I made signs for our room door and window and our stroller. Here they are all laminated and hole-punched ready to be hung!

Then I printed out our itinerary (They are approximately 4x5), laminated, hole-punched and put them together with little clips. I have three copies: one for me, DH and an extra.

IMGP2909.jpg

I don't know if you can see it but two of the finished copies are at the top of the pic and the 8 pages of the last "booklet" are spread out. The two clips are at the top left of the picture. Each day you can unclip it and put the current day on top.

DD9 and I bought some Disney stickers to decorate the envelopes for Mousekeeping. She made 6:

While we were out shopping I stopped in Office Depot and picked up belt clips for the girls ID tags. I made the tags with 2 LGMH with their names on one side and on the back it says "I'm lost. My name is..... My mom's name is.... and our cell phone # is ..." Then I laminated it, punched it and it hangs from a rectractable clip. I know the little ones won't wear anything around their necks but I am hoping this will work.

Also pictured are some more LGMH non-laminated, and my cards (bottom right) to give out to other disers. Its a LGMH that I pealed off of the paint chip card. I printed out a mini-version of the sign I showed above and laminated the two together. I showed the front and the back.

And before I forget....here is the stroller my friend lent to us. It looks heavy but its only 17 pounds total. I have a rain cover for it too which will be nice if it rains (or should I say when it rains). Here it is folded and unfolded with the girls trying it out:

Finally, I picked up some last minute items at the drug store today. Tylenol for DD9, and a kids version for DD2 and 3. We have our adult version. I also picked up more sunscreen. I have lotion but I wanted to get the "new" continuous spray which will be great for reapplications during the day. DD3 is very sensitive to sunscreen so I have to be careful what I use on her. I also picked up princess chap stick with sunscreen and princess lollipops as a treat to pull out when needed. There were some cute hair ties which are always needed for the two little ones. And thats about it.

So next weekend I will begin packing (June 2 and finish by June 9th) I also need to ship out our surprise BBB box about 10 days ahead. I am also considering shipping the pullups, wipes, swim diapers and room snacks in another box. It would save a lot of weight to lug around in suitcases not to mention room. Remember we are gettting our luggage at MCO and bringing it with us to POR. So I dont want a lot of bags either.

Thanks for reading. :headache: One more thing....its really hot but we haven't turned on the AC yet. I am trying to acclimate myself to the heat. Its 83 degrees in the house under ceiling fans. :sad2:

Wow!! I am going to have to come back to this TR years down the road when I have kids!! :lmao: What a nice job you did on everything!! I love the name tags for the girls...that's a great idea!! :thumbsup2 Can you believe how close our trips are??? :cloud9:

Wow! You are one organized lady! Love the lamination!:rotfl: :thumbsup2 I can't wait to do it myself for our trip next year!

Thanks for the tip to get my shirt personalized through Disneyshopping--I hadn't even thought of it!

I am always a little leary of ordering stuff online but they really did do a great job with the shirts and making sure we liked them. I am sorta organized and sorta obsessed with this Disney. In fact a fellow teacher commented on my laminated schedule. She said "I have never seen someone anticipate a trip sooo much!" I think that was a compliment??? :rolleyes1

What a great package of goodies!! I didn't get the handy dandy luggage tags..you would think for buying into DVC we would get them. :rotfl: Lucky you!!!

You can have mine since we aren't using them. :sad2: I dont want to wait for our luggage since it took like 4 1/2 hours last year. I thought you could request ME and dining plan when you do DVC? I mean you all spend all that money and come every year...they should at least do ME for ya  Are you renting a car then???

Sorry!! I meant the plastic ones they give you for your suitcases. Not the ME ones!! I got those already and they are on my suitcases as we speak!! :cloud9:

Here is the website. Its called a Combi Twin LX:

I had a great time making the name tags, signs and itinerary! :thumbsup2 I think the acclimating thing is more my DH's idea. He grew up without AC so doesn't like turning it on so early. But I do need to get used to the heat anyways. Heck, last weekend in Boston I could "see my breath" it was so cold.

Hey! When, will you please make those itineraries for me I'll totally pay you! :)

Hi Beana, thanks for reading! :cheer2: If you really wanted I could send you mine and you could just enter your info. Then print them out in color (2 per page so they are smaller) and laminate. Let me know :) :thumbsup2

Have a wonderful time on your trip... DVC member do get magical express and can do the dining plan. We are doing both in October. We can't get free dining though....oh well.:)

Cathy I love all your stuff your itineraries look just great and I love the idea of the LGMH for each DD :thumbsup2

Well, that is a good thing! I probably wont get free dining either since they offer it just when I get ready to go back to work. ;) I'm a teacher. I wonder if I will ever get to Disney anytime other than the summer. I would love to go during the Flower Show. Perhaps when we move to Florida I can :confused3
So you are going in October....thats great....what are you plans? :thumbsup2

Well hopefully Jo they will wear them and not need them....have you ever seen the harnesses kids wear (looks like a leash:rolleyes: ). I used them last year when DD2 was 18 months and DD3 was 2yrs. That way they could get out of the stroller but not get lost in the shuffle. Sooooo, I will bring them this year and see if I need them...the nametags are just in case :scared: they get separated from us.
I am really enjoying your trippie Jo....keep the installments coming! :yay:

Hello Peeps!
I went to the beach with the girls today since it was hot! We had a great time for about an hour and then the little ones DD2 and DD3 started whining. Well actually it was more DD3. Yeesh....I dont think she felt well actually. But the reason I am telling you all this is I tried out the new sunscreen on everyone. Before we left I put on the lotion all over and special face lotion. After about an hour, DD2 started getting red and I reapplied the Continuous Spray....great stuff. However, this evening, DD3's face is red. Not sure if she burned or it is a reaction to the face lotion. So, I have one other option...I bought a stick for faces. Otherwise its no face protection other than a hat and umbrellas  for her.

Did I mention the count down today???

No????

Well lets see.

It is.....

.......20 Days !!!

 :dance3: :yay: :cheer2: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Yeesh...my ticker obviously doesn't do Disney Fuzzy Math....it says 21 days....who counts the last day???? Not me!

OK now this is my 500th post....:rotfl: :rotfl2: I kinda cheated by posting several times in a row....heck, it keeps my report bold and 1st page! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

So this calls for a celebration!! Since its Memorial Day over here in the good old US of A, we have a cook-out! Please help yourself to: :flower3:
cheeseburgers, pasta salad, potato salad, cold slaw, watermelon and lemonade! For dessert we have ice pops and ice cream! Maybe DM will bring over some of her special cookies! Enjoy!!! :woohoo:

PS - Look over there <------ I am a Dis Veteran! On Memorial Day too! How cool is that!

I used the Con. Spray on the kids I take care of last summer and did not like it...I didn't think it worked that well. I went back to just plain old baby sunblock for all the kids...it's what I have to use too!! I used to sell Avon and their sunblock worked really well!! :thumbsup2
