Pre-trip Report 9/21-10/3

Okay so this pre trip report maybe long. I am a planning nut. Warning to you all. This trip planning started actively 2 and a half years ago. I planned a trip for Sept 17th 2001. For that trip I was going to stay at Poly at the unbelievable rate of 179. per night. for 7 nights then Portofino Bay for 2 nights don't remember the rate but it was with the Entertainment rate. Okay so it is 6 days before my trip and we all know what happened. I was scared to fly in the first place and had even gotten pills to help me cope from my Dr. So with my fear of flying and the climate of the time, I just cancelled everything and would try again later. Okay fast forward to Jan 03 when the real planning began for this trip. I knew that I wanted Sept again and started checking for rates booked Poly again in anticipation of a great deiscount rate but also booked the Swan with a Gov rate as a backup. Also booked Portofino Bay again with an Entertainment rate. Fast forward a month or so Mary at Mousesavers talks about Hotel Royal Plaza King Suite sound good to me and a great rate on her site. Book that cancel Swan. Then start to look for airfares. Check Orbitz every day just for the fun of it, because I figured I would take the bus any way anything not to fly. Okay one day I punch in my dates on Orbitz and low and behold there is a fare of 149.00 round trip from Denver. This is an unheard of price from Denver!!! Before I can stop myself I book it. Go home and tell my 79 year old Mother about the fare. Now just a week earlier she said that she would not come with me and she was adament about it. Well with that great fare she said she might. Told her that the rate disappeared 2 hours after I booked. Told my Brother what she said and he said to go ahead and book it and he would pay for it.

So now it is two of us and the King Suite won't work. So again looking for a place to stay if no discounts for the Poly come out. Dreams has a great rate for BWLBV. I have stayed here before and at the rate offered I could get us our own rooms. This is important because I smoke and she hates it. Book that Wait another month or so. No discounts for Poly so I go ahead and cancel that res. Okay so with Dreams you get that wonderful perk of having them make your PS'S. Got all of them including CRT. Some may think I made too many bur there are just too many places I have not been able to get into on the spur of the moment.So we have PS'S for CRT Donald BreakfastsaurusSci Fi 'Ohanas Prime Time Garden Grill Ca Grill and Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian. We will be in the parks everyday but two Sun we will check out other resorts that I have never seen only read about. And on Monday we are planning on going on a Casino Cruise. So since this is my last day at work I submit this as my Pre-trip report and will post what really happens when I get back.(as you can see, I really did earn my Tag Fairy Tag)

Have so much fun. I know you've waited such a long time. I thought of you last week while I was there, wondering if you were going to be able to make it this September. Have a great time and enjoy that great airline rate. Our's were $203, and I thought that was great. Look forward to your trip reports!

Thanks Kelli. Can't wait to get there and I don't own a car so I know I won't have your kind of problems. Glad you had a good trip despite all the car problems at home. Just think you are now in that next great phase of planning the next one!!! LOL

Actually, I will be planning my daughter's honeymoon. I am very excited about that. I have a lot of surprises in store. She hasn't set a date yet, but I told her she should get married during the off-season so she'll have more fun. She just rolls her eyes at me, lol. Steve and I will be returning in May 2005 for our 25th wedding anniversary.

WOW....... Will you have any time for the parks in between all the great PS?

I am touring the parks based on the PS'S. There is only 1 a day except for Sci-fi and Prime Time. We are both fairly light eaters and plan to have lunch at Prime Time then later have Dessert at Sci-Fi. I hope this all works out. We shall see!!!!!
