I went to the mail box and took out all the mail, and at first did not see it. I was expecting a different color envelope, like the bills from DTC come in. It was only after I took the rubber band off the bunch that I saw the Main Mouse's Mug in the return address. I jumped for joy and did a happy dance.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
I opened the envelope and did another happy dance:banana:   , because my flight, hotel, and reservation information were actually all correct.

So, if you are willing-please join me in the happy dance.:cool1:

Until next time...keep on :)

:cool1:  :yay: :cheer2: :rockband: :dancer: party: :jumping1:

That's my happy dance for you! You like?
And when I get mine within a couple weeks, it will that times two! lol

I'll totally bust some moves for your DME mail!! YAY!!

:banana: :banana: :dance3: :cheer2: :dancer::cheer2: :dance3: :banana: :banana:

Now we wait for the souvenir luggage tags and all of our package goodies! Shouldn't be long! :woohoo:

That's such a nice Happy Dance. I totally was expecting to be one of those folks who did not get their packet until the very last minute. Your packet isn't far off

I didn't know we get more stuff before we go. So all of our package vouchers (coffee mug, photopass cert, searaycers, etc.) come in advance???

They are delicious battered and deep fried, or perhaps rolled in nori with a little pickled ginger and wasabi though:)

Hate to burst your chef bubble, but I really don't like fish....even to eat!! My DH loves fish but I hate to even cook it! Poor guy only gets it when we go out to eat!

You will get a package with your souvenir luggage tags and all the vouchers that come with the package (arcade card, Mini golf, photopass, Planet Hollywood, etc.) You won't get the mug till you get to POR. I'm hoping my packet comes in the mail today....I'll be stalking the mailbox! :lmao:

I don't eat it that much either. After I found out I was allergic to Salmon and Trout by way of the emergency room a few years ago. I'm a little scared. It seams ocean fish and shell fish work out (I've had them since) but the fresh water ones (Yes, I know salmon is a little of both) like to give me hives and not air.

Thanks for letting me know. Now I have another Mickey Mail to look forward to.:)

The Day of Departure-Tour Plans.

Upon my recalculations, I noticed something awful, which I had forgotten to take care of. I had one dining credit left unused on the DDXDP.
I mulled over how to use it on my departure day, since Boatwright’s at POR is not serving breakfast anymore. I thought eating at the hotel would be fun.
So, I tried a new plan. My flight leaves MCO at 5:45pm. The Magical Express will probably need me back at around 2pm-so a lunch, especially for an ADR this close, was out. I wanted to do MK for my last day, and eat breakfast there, but character dining is not my thing, and I wanted a cooked breakfast, instead of bakery goodies (especially since I have table service credits, and want to milk every dime out of the DDXDP).

Behold my stroke of Genius: Pre-check my luggage early at the hotel & check out. Take a cab to the Contemporary, and have 7:30 breakfast at The Wave (my wait time on WDW-DINE was 17 minutes at 8:50am MDST this morning)-and arrive at the MK on foot (or Monorail, depends on how heavy breakfast is) for the Opening Show and Rope Drop. I’ll ride and shop all I can. I may have a little snack or CS lunch for cash. Casey’s sounds good, because I will have had no junk food-not one fast food meal the entire week. This chef secretly loves junk food.

After lunch, it will be time to take the walk of not only pain and sadness-but also of joy and great memories away from the castle towards the gates for the last time for what probably will be a great while before I return to the Magic Kingdom.

I will probably take a cab again back to the hotel to maximize time, unless I feel the urge to leave the park early and shop at DTD. In which case, time permitting, the bus will do.

Then, the Magical Depress bus will take me away to MCO. If I have time, I will both celebrate my joy and drown my sorrows in a woefully overpriced, yet inadequate cocktail or two.

Then it’s the Second Star to the Right and Straight on ‘til Morning with a brief stop in Houston, all the way to Colorado Springs Airport and the beloved Holiday Inn.

No more bad coffee or throngs of loud children or queues which stretch into the next century or bus rides.:goodvibes

For a while-no more Mom or Grandparents or Aunts and Uncles or Signature Restaurants or Theme Parks or Special Tours-or Having Someone Make My Bed at Port Orleans Riverside.:sad2:

But there is always the chance to return to Florida in the Future and to Visit Walt Disney World each night in my Dreams.:cloud9:

I really could not believe that I got 3 Disney related packages in a day. The bounty is beginning to arrive.

Well, where to begin. First-The Disney Store Loot. Here is the first batch of stuff-trading pins. I have a personalized one for the lanyard on the way. It is going to ship separately. It is really only 5 pins, but two of them are “spinners” with images on both sides of the pin. I’ve never pin traded before, but for what I paid for it, unless someone comes up with something fabulous, the LE Cheshire Cat is not up for grabs. I’d trade the others, though I’d be a little sad to let Mickey go. I am sure I could find another Mickey Pin without trying too hard.

Since these posts are photo heavy, I am going to split them up.
Next up, a package from a fellow DISer and another from His Royal Mousiness.

We left off with pins, and now, thanks to a fellow DISer, who will be thanked privately, I now have these:

So other DISers can Recognize me at the World.

It was a magical day at the mailbox as I also received this:

Needless to say, it has been a fun day.

O.K., I am going to try and post in some of my faithful readers reports now. We shall see what comes in the mail for the rest of the week.

Your last day plan looks good! No better way to end a WDW vacation than at the MK. Good choice! :goodvibes

Don't you just love Mickey Mail! I got some yesterday as well! SO exciting!! I love your pins! I don't know that I'd be able to trade them either. Especially that Snow White...she's my favorite!! Poor original Disney Princess who gets completely overlooked. I'd have to hang on to that one!

Yay for your LGMH!! You'll have to post a pic once you get your screen name on it so I know what I'm looking for! :cool2:

Looking forward to the rest of the Disney Store loot! Have a great St.Patrick's Day! :thumbsup2

Those pins look so neat! I love the mickey one! ::MickeyMo
What a great day at the mailbox!
*sigh* mine is still so magic free :sad2:

Oh wow! Those pins are great!

See...I would be terrible at pin trading. I would never want to let anything go! I would have to buy duplicates of everything. :lmao:

I wish I was getting Mickey Mail. :sad1: But since mom booked everything, it's all going to her address. So she'll send the luggage stuff on to me when she gets it. It's just not the same.

We're leaving in

30

Days!!!

  party: :dancer: :dancer: party:

I know I know I know.

I stayed up late last night doing homework and saw the countdown banner on my desktop change over.

I did some major shopping for the trip yesterday-the usual-mini toiletries, socks & drawers, and a badly needed pair of tennis shoes. I am planning on doing a major post sometime today, ( I was going to do it yesterday, but I had a major fight with the scanner/printer while printing out my trip binder stuff) or tonight after work.

See you real soon! :earsboy:

"Everybody needs a net full of Jell-O to make them a peanut butter sandwich."

Thanks to everyone who keeps the DISboards up and running for our amusement, and asking for little in return.

We all survived the upgrade.

I am seriously considering sending in a sponsorship donation.:)

So, it has been a few days since my last big update. I have been really busy with work and homework.
My Disney purchases have started to arrive in the mail. First, and most important-the luggage:

Interior of Carry-On with official DISer Wal-Mart Poncho
distuff007.jpg

This is the luggage set on Disneyshopping.com on sale for $49.95 plus shipping (which was $7.95). So for 58 bucks I got two huge wheeled suitcases of pretty high quality, with tasteful Mickey embroidery plus a carry on. To put this into perspective, most of the American Tourist luggage collection at my local Wal-mart started at about 40 bucks a bag, and some nicer large wheeled suitcases were in the $60 and up range. This is the best deal on luggage I have ever had in my life.
D23 Stuff has finally started to arrive:

The LGMH for non-crafty men:
distuff016-1.jpg

distuff005.jpg

These are made of badge holders from WM, LGMH from HD and a Sharpie black permanent marker.
The Trip Binder (not bad for a boy if I do say so myself) :

And Finally-My $18 Wal-mart surprise bargain item from the jewelry case:

I still can’t believe I am under 30 days. I also can’t believe how much water has to go under the bridge at work, the place that we are not allowed to speak of on the DISboards anymore, and school before then. Time flies.

Good morning! Happy "26 days to go"!!

The luggage is great...that was a good deal! Nice job! :thumbsup2

Are you packing already? Man....I've been trying to hold off and wait till the 2 week mark, but I really want to get started. And now you are ahead of me...can't have that! :rotfl:

Nice LGMH....for a non-crafty man! LOL! I will be on the lookout for you at POR. If we don't run into each other I will be disappointed!

I also love the binder...you are good! ;)

I am so excited I can't even tell you! I love coming down the home stretch! I can see WDW from here!!! :cool1:

Yes, I'm packing already. Mostly because I don't have a place to put stuff in my apartment. Also, because my schedule after next week is ridiculous. I need to be able to load the car the evening of the 17th so I can go to work, and then straight to the airport hotel.

I swiped all of the images for the binder by using google.

If only I could leave tommorow.

BTW your packing list is much more sophisticated than mine. Mine is on an old envelope tacked to the fridge.;)
