Having requested our seats 180 days in advance like we were told, we rang virgin in monday to confirm these seats. they said everything was fine.
On the offchance we checked the virgin online 'manage your flight'. On there it showed that we had not requested any seating.
After a lengthy phone call we were told that the aircraft had been changed late on monday and that our seating arrangements had been wiped from the system.
To cut a long story short, so that our party of five(including two kids) can sit together we have forked out for premium economy( economy had us seated in different parts of the aircraft
)
Just warning you that , as virgin said, 'your seats that you requested are not guaranteed '
