Pre-Ordered MYW Tickets placed on room key car

My DW is obseesed with having our MYW tickets on our room key card as we have everyother time the was have visited Disney. However, there is a significant discount to pre-order our tickets. Were are DVCrs so no package.

Has anyone every been able to place their new, unused tickets on to their room key card upon check in.

Also, I am assuming that the pre-ordered tickets are paper, and not a plastic card. Thinking of buying at ticketmania.

I have read that yes you can do this.
I have tickets from Ticketmania, and I'm checking into the Poly on Saturday, I'll find out for sure then!

AFAIK, none of the DVC resorts will do this - and I am glad!

When this was allowed (for Park hopper tickets), it took forever and ever - I have been told that they CM essentially had to void the pre-purchased tickets and do a new purchase to put on the keys. It was not fun standing in line waiting for someone ahead of you to have this done! Before MYW, the DVC resorts would only put tickets purchased at check in on the room keys - and so you paid gate price.

I am not 100% sure this is true since MYW, but I am reasonably sure that if you want tickets on your room key at the DVC resorts you either have to buy them as part of a package ahead of time (can't do if staying on points), or pay gate price at check in.

Have you told your wife how much "her obsession" is going to cost?

You can prepurchase your park tickets through disney and have them placed on your room card at check in. That is what we are doing but we are not staying at a DVC so I don't know if that is different.

We were able to put our 10 day MYW tickets onto our room key card at BCV with no problem - it didn't take long at all. We moved over to VWL a couple of days later and when we got our new keys we were able to put the tickets onto the new keys just as easily - no problems at all!
