Pre-order BOG lunch, yes or no? Also, BOG lunch and dinner on the same day?

Hi all-- more or less what the title says. I got a FP+ for BOG lunch arriving between 11 and 11:30 a few days before Thanksgiving. I didn't choose to pre-order, but now I'm wondering how big an advantage it might be to do so. Thoughts?

Also, I happened to (FINALLY!) get a BOG dinner reservation a few hours after I snagged the lunch FP. Our original plan was to get a lunch FP if we still hadn't gotten dinner reservations, and now we have both for the same day. We've been to BOG for dinner once before, and loved it, and are looking forward to dining there again. But we're also curious about the lunch menu, as well as seeing how BOG becomes a counter service restaurant by day. We're definitely not dropping the dinner reservation, but the question is, do we cancel lunch? Any opinions would be appreciated!

We also want to know the answer. Just got this today and secured a FP+ reservation for lunch.

We were there last week with a fast pass for lunch. When we arrived at the podium they asked if we preordered, wich I did not do. We waited 30 min.on the bridge before we could walk in. Everybody who had peordered went straight true. Believe me next time I will preorder... I don't know if they changed something but we had one last year as well and went in without waiting more than 5 min. to go to the machine to order our meals...
As for your other question, last year we did both lunch and diner, but on 2 different days we enjoyed both.
Enjoy ;)

I would keep the lunch. I much prefer the lunch to the dinner there (I've had dinner there twice and lunch there twice as well).

As far as the preorder, I don't know if it matters. We didn't notice any difference between the time we preordered and the time we ordered upon arrival. When we did preorder, their system screwed up and lost the order, so it didn't make any difference in the end anyway.

Thanks, everyone! I guess it can't hurt to pre-order, assuming I can get my family to think the same way... :rotfl2:

Not sure I would do both lunch and dinner. I would probably do dinner over lunch though if I had to choose.

And I would definitely order lunch ahead of time. I cannot tell you how many reports I've read about the line being so long and slow to order at the kiosks because people don't know what they are doing, how to use them, and after all the time standing there, they don't even think about what they are going to order until they get to the kiosk. When you pre-order you bypass all of that and head right to a table. :thumbsup2

I would say pre-order as long as you are sure nobody will change their mind about what they want to eat. We've preordered twice and then at the last minute my husband changed his mind about something or decided he wanted to add soup. So you end up in the kiosk line.

Can't you go back into the link and change it from your phone? If someone knows they want something different that day or even right before going, I think you can. I have gone back in a few times already and changed our orders around.

I've honestly never thought of that. Duh! You probably can. Our change was just so last minute, that we were directed to a kiosk and the wait was minimal.

Yeah, I figured as much. But a lot of people probably wouldn't think to do that if it is very last minute like you said.

Good point, thank you!

We did both on the same day back in Feb. Loved them both. Quite different experience. I would keep them both. :thumbsup2
