We arrive the day prior to sailing and DCL agent suggested booking at either Hilton Coco beach near terminal or MCO Hyatt.

I did book Hilton directly(DCL also offered to book through them). My question - is it easy to get Uber/lyft or cab around noon from Hilton Coco beach area to the terminal?

The MCO Hyatt option also sounded nice since she mentioned they can have DCL shuttle added to transport us to ship. My thought is enjoy the Cocobeach for a day vs. sitting in airport hotel.

any suggestions appreciated.

What time does your flight get in?

We come from the West Coast, so between a 5-6 hour flight AND a 3 hour time change, get in pretty late. We stay at the Hyatt.

If we were getting in around noon or early afternoon, we'd head someplace where there is something more interesting to do.

(The airport Hyatt has a nice pool, we always swim in the evening, thank you jet lag, but it wouldn't keep us occupied for a whole afternoon and evening.)

I second what the Chemist said. After a long travel day nothing can beat that short walk to the Hyatt and then DCL transport to the port the following day. But hanging out at the airport isn't really much fun if it's an early/easy flight into town. I've never gotten an uber from the Coco Hilton, but I can't imagine it being tough to get an uber there around noon. It's a fairly built up place with plenty of hotels and lots of cruise passengers every day - uber drivers are no dummies and know where to hang out.

Even if you arrive early, staying at the Hyatt doesn’t mean being stuck in the airport. We’ve done day trips at Universal, Sea World and Downtown Disney while staying at the Hyatt. You simply grab a Lyft/Uber from the same place as people getting off the planes. We prefer doing that than stying in Cocoa beach.

And we enjoy having dinner at McCoy’s, the Hyatt restaurant.

Stayed at MCO Hyatt when we went on our first cruise. I didn't like that there wasn't anything really do. We didn't take the shuttle to the port because, at that time, my husband was living in GA because he took a new job and I was still in California while daughter finished school. So, he drove to airport and we flew in. We drove the next day to port and the ride isn't that long. But, we have 2 cruises coming up and I've already booked the hotel rooms at hotels by the port. We'll have our own vehicle (I know the transportation is different for you) so we'll just drive ourselves. Hotels have shuttles to take you to the terminal. You didn't mention when your cruise was, but I made reservations a long time ago. Our first cruise is next month and rooms were sold out in one of the hotels I was looking at.

Called DCL, option to book at Hyatt MCO is no longer available(sold out), i could go hyatt website direct but for some reason 1day price for basic room is $500, not worth it.

I guess we are just going to Uber/taxi to Hilton Cocobeach day prior
the day of sailing. will head to port from Cocobeac Hilton. I talked with Hilton front desk, they offer shuttle to port for $9/person that leaves at 11am.

If our PAT is at 12.30, will still be able to get in? just can't check in at Disney desk?

to answer some questions above, our flight arrives at 9.30pm. Nov 18th Wish saiing
