Pre-Cruise Hotel and Parking

Any suggestions for a hotel before and after the cruise (leaving from Ft. Lauderdale)??

What about parking? We'll be driving from Atlanta and will need to park my car someplace. Any suggestions re: reasonably priced and safe??

We've always used the Embassy Suites. There is a Publix nearby and you can see the ships from the hotel...
