pre-checking in

Can someone explain to me how pre-checking in works and whether it is available at OKW?

At all Disney resorts, including DVC resorts, you can check-in any time, and get your room key cards, even if your room is not yet available. You'll be able to leave your luggage with bell services, and will even be able to start charging on your room key. Around check-in time you can call the front desk and find out what your room number is, and your key will start working in the lock on the door to your room at that time.

This may be stupid, but do they have bell service at OKW? It's so spread out (or so I've heard), that it seems it would be difficult. If they do, will bell service deliver your bags to your room while you are in the park (assuming you pre-checked in)?

There is bell service at OKW. They drive golf cart-like vehicles. I believe other than Magical Express luggage delivery you must be in your room for luggage delivery. I know at BWV we had to be in our room then call down to bell service for our luggage.

How long should I expect to wait after calling bell services for delivery? Just trying to plan our first day (when we will also be going to MNSSHP).

It depends on how many people are checking in at that time. We have gone to the luggage room and retrieved items from our luggage that we needed before our room was ready. I would ask how long bell services anticipates it will take for your luggage to be delivered. It seemed to me to take longer at OKW than at BWV but OKW is spread out much more than BWV. I remember it taking about 45 min. at OKW. But it was a Sunday, a big check in day.
