Pre-Arrival MagicBand Selections

My wife and I already have ones that we use, so I don't regularly keep up with the pre-arrival selections; but we are going with our extended family in September, so obviously wanted to get them set up with bands. Wow, does the current selection leave a lot to be desired.. Only 24 in total and only one solid color (purple)! Obviously I get they are trying to phase them out, so was trying to sort through options.

Is this our only option before hand at the reduced price? Just checked shopDisney and the selection there isn't much better.

Can we pick them up on arrival day (assuming we pay full price and won't get any choice of what's available) at check in?

Lastly, you can still get the key cards for free at check-in if all else fails, correct?

Yeah the selection at both sites is terrible right now. If you see something you DO end up liking, don't hesitate to snatch it up because it might not last.

Regarding picking the ones up on arrival: I was more wondering if the front desk has any availability themselves? At least solid colors like they used to have? Or is that not even an option anymore?

The resort gift shop might have some, or you could wait until you got into a park to check somewhere like the Emporium, but the front desk won't have any inventory available for retail sale.

We are traveling in a few weeks. I was holding out in the hopes that MagicBand+ would be released, but I haven't seen anything. I figure supply chain issues -- as well as the new product coming -- are reasons why the selection is terrible. We watched solid color options disappear for weeks before we just took what was left. We are not people who use them at home, so I don't care what they look like and am certainly not willing to spend $40 on one each.

Oh, I just mean like for decor or display or something. LOL Ours get thrown in a drawer. I've seen people make wreaths and such out of a bunch of them.

I wrap mine around the metal part of some shelves as part of my little Disney area. Pardon the dust and everything not being straight. It's a work in progress still.

My dog got up at 3:30 am (1:30 EST) so I checked My Disney Experience and MagicBand+ was live so I ordered 3 for my family. Choice of 54.
