So, if you all have been watching the news you all have seen the TN flooding. THATS OUR AREA. The interstate is closed, and its freaking crazy out here. I am hoping its going away by the time we head down. It would suck not to be able to go. We cant even get out to my MIL's house 15min away. Its freaking crazy.

Oh, that is horrible! Here's hoping your family stays safe, and everything works out for you!

Ohh, hugs to you!!! I hope you are safe and sound, as is your family.

Is it too late to purchase travel insurance just in case you can't go? Might be worth looking at!

I hope it all works out and you get to enjoy your vacation!

I feel for you. We were flooded in our neighborhood two years ago and again last fall. It's not fun, but we did have flood insurance (but it went up to standard coverage from preferred coverage). I'm supposed to be flying TO Nashville on Monday for a conference and our conference planners are scrambling to find a new place to have the conference. It was supposed to be at the Gaylord.

Hope it works out for you and you can still go.

 We're flooded here too!! I hope everything dries out soon and your and youre on your way to the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!!:grouphug:

Thanks everyone. I'm just a tad worried that we will be stuck here. thankfully SOG only requires a one night deposit and we havent bought our tickets yet. Our phone has been in and out (same w/ internet and TV), but we are lucky that is it. We didnt have but some water come in the backdoor. My FIL wasnt so lucky and he lives on a hill. My Sister is stuck in her house as the water is up to their driveway, but not to the house. We are sooooo glad we havent told the kids about the trip because we were afraid something would keep us from going (like the army), so there wont be any heartbreak w/ them. So yeah we are keeping our fingers crossed that we at least can get out of the Clarksville/Nashville area Saturday night.

I hope it will be clear by then. Good luck, and keep thinking happy thoughts :)

Good luck with everything clearing up and your trip working out! That's such a bummer but I hope things turn around quickly for you!!

I cancelled my stay for next week because my conference was cancelled. The lady I talked to at the hotel said the water was starting to go down. Hopefully, you'll be lucky and able to get out.

Two years ago, we left our flood damaged home for two weeks at WDW. When we got back it was still damaged, but the company we hired had dried it all out, removed the moldy sheetrock, pulled up the floors, etc. Then all we had to do was hired someone to start fixing it up again. But we had a nice relaxing time at WDW.

So sorry to hear that you are stuck....I saw that the water was receding so maybe you can head out by Saturday :woohoo: Fingers crossed and prayers sent up. Be safe!!
