I know questions like these have been asked before but thought I would get some recent takes. My sister and I will be there in late April and have the QSDP. We usually "splurge" on one sit down and this time we're doing Tusker House breakfast. However, there are a couple of places we haven't tried and would like to-we will be doing an Epcot AH event and planned on trying the Mexican pavilion sit down just for a couple of appetizers and mocktails before the AH starts. Do they care if we don't order full meals? We might also do this at Yak and Yeti. Thank you!

You can do this in any a la carte TS restaurant, just not the ones which are a buffet or prix fixe. You can buy just an appetizer, or just a dessert, and it’s no problem at all.

Thank you! I knew about the buffets/prix fixe and figured everywhere else they don't really mind but thought I would check in with the experts ☺️. Thanks!

It is DS#2 and I favorite thing to do!! But it is our dinner, so we'll order one or more appetizers than there are of us (sometimes DS#1 is with us) and usually a couple desserts.

I have often gone to both Mexico restaurants in Epcot and had cocktails and appetizers...especially during Food & Wine. I've had enough small bites through the afternoon that I'm not keen on a full meal, but still want to sit at a table and relax with a drink and some food. And the Epcot Mexico restaurants have one of my all-time favorite appetizers - Queso Fundido. I've addicted several friends and family members on that stuff, and even when we ate there for full meals, some of them ended up getting that as their entree.

I think getting appetizers is fine, but do remember to maybe tip a little extra since the check might be smaller, but you are still taking up the server's time, especially if you hang out a while.

People ask this a lot, so maybe Disney should use their Simpson's IP and make a real-life version of 'Zers!

Technically those already exist - tapas is the fancy word for appetizers and there are several tapas style restaurants in WDW.
