prayers needed for my mom

My mother was just diagnosed with uterine cancer. The doctor thinks it is stage 1 but will not be sure until after her hysterectomy. On top of that, her mammogram showed something they would like to look at further. Her doctor did a hysteroscopy and d&c, told us the news, and went out of town for 2 weeks. Of course we all have a million questions now and he is gone. My mother's faith seems to be tested constantly- my father divorced her unexpectedly after 27 years of marriage, my brother lives a questionable life, loss of parents and grandbaby (SIDS) in a short period of time. She never complains but I know she is scared and so am I. Please help me pray for mom's peace and complete healing. Thanks.

:grouphug: Prayers being sent. I'm sorry that all that has happened all at the same time. I hope the mamogram problem turns out to be nothing, and that her cancer is stage 1. Tell her we're praying for her speedy recovery.

Hugs and prayers for your mom and you. Does her doctor have an associate who could look at her test results and answer some questions for you?

OMG.. just when you think you have read it all....how do you drop that kind of information on a patient and leave no one to answer questions?????

There has to be a doctor in charge while the doctor is away and I would make darn sure I put a call in and get some answers to the questions.. Sorry, if I sound annoyed, but how do you do that to someone.. GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Anyway.. please know that I will keep your Mom in my prayers.. sounds like she has had more than enough sadness in her life, she does not need this as well. Hopefully, stage 1, which is treatable and that the mammogram just needs to be repeated and shows nothing... I will keep her and you in my good thoughts and prayers..

Hugs all around..

Sending prayers for the best of all outcomes.

Sending my best wishes to your entire family. Hoping all turns out well!

Mom's doctor will be back on Monday and she is the first patient scheduled that morning. He does have an associate but I didn't have any luck when I tried to call him. The front desk says the associate only handles ob patients, any high risk or gynecology issues are given to mom's doctor. I have talked to a friend who is a doctor and she says although she may have done it differently things should be ok for now. I am just scared because the symptoms have been going on for 7 weeks now. The doctor has done all of the right follow up appointments but each one has had a 2 week wait in between and the initial appointment took 3 weeks to get even though they knew she was having problems. It is scary to be given bad news and then left with questions and have to wait. Thanks so much for the prayers.
