Prayers needed for my dog

Praying for you and Elvis. Hope he's home and doing well!

Edit: the former vet called today to see how he was doing and said the other dog's owner hasn't even called to see how Elvis is doing.
What a passive-aggressive so-and-so. He's trying to redirect your anger from him to the owner of the other dog.

Picking him up at 4 today!
:cool1: Give him a big kiss on that cute nose for me!

Yaaay!!! So happy he is ok and coming home!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Um, can I just say how ridiculous it was for your vet to tell you that the owner of the St. Bernard hasn't called to check on your dog? That was inappropriate and uncalled for! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I agree that he is trying to pass the anger blame.

So happy to hear this news. I am sure he will be getting a lot of extra hugs.

I couldn't be happier or more relieved, so I can only imagine how you feel! :flower3:

I just saw your thread. I am so glad that your fur baby is home and okay. I would ask your vet if you could please see the surveillance footage. If it was a case of them walking your dog out the door and someone was walking in with their Saint Bernard on a leash I could see this could happen and why the vet is surprised the Saint Bernard owner hasn't checked on your dog. Otherwise there is no way the 2 dogs should ever have come in contact with each other and I would be wanting answers.

I am glad that your vet did the right thing and sent your dog to an emergency center. Sadly I'm not sure that all vets would have done that.

BTW I had a terrible experience happened to 1 of my dogs when a tech took her to the back during a routine checkup. My dog still has issues and I'm still extremely angry over it. So this is just an f.y.i to all doggie lovers, use a vet that performs tests in front of you.

I was told by the emergency/icu center he was sent to that the vets there saved his life. I'm sure it is the techs that were a negligent. Now that he is home we can assess the situation. It's difficult because he has gotten used to not having to go outside to do his business so we have to retrain him on that and it is still difficult for him to get out of bed on his own.

Hope he is resting comfortably now that he is back home!

Ah! I just want to hug him and squoosh his face!

Poor baby. I'm sure he is still quite sore. Repotty training will probably be a lot easier once he's fully recovered.
