Unfortunately, I can relate.

My DH was diagnosed with Leukemia at 24 years old, when I was 5 months pregnant.

Although not the same as a child, I know who emotional it is.

I am happy to say my DH is 13 years in remission!!!

And we were able to have 2 more girls after the treatments!!

I will say a prayer and will have the best wishes sent your way
