Prayers and Thoughts for California

Please send all your thoughts and prayers for California. We are having a lot of fires. One of the fires is about 30 miles from my house. I know a few families that have been evacuated. It is just giving me bad reminders of being evacuated last year. Sadly this fire is not the only one in the state. Dropping a pic of the smoke from my yard.

Don't forget Southern California where they are bracing for high winds and flooding from Tropical Storm Kay (formerly Hurricane Kay) hits land.

Is that a picture from the Mosquito Fire? My son and his girlfriend left Lake Tahoe today because the air quality was so bad. They had planned to take a long hike today and drive home tomorrow, but they decided it was better to just head home. Hope you stay safe!

Yes. It grew so fast. The River Fire last year was bad, this one is even worse.

Didn't really pan out. It's been light rain and pretty mild winds. Nothing close to the 50mph gusts they predicted for this afternoon.

We had smoke and ash falling here from the fire in Riverside earlier today, so the rain is a welcome relief from that. Hopefully it will be enough to get that fire under control.

My son lives in Porter Ranch and it was pouring there at 6:30 pm, and I checked the Disneyland webcam and the rain was coming down so hard in Anaheim that the camera wouldn't focus. The auto focus was focusing on the rain close to the camera. It's that way right now too. But rain is funny that way, heavy a few places, none to little elsewhere.
EDITED: Just checked the wait time at Disneyland website. Looks like most of the park is closed due to the rain.

My cousin's son's fiance's family lives in Georgetown. They sent a picture of a mountain lion that came down from the fire just standing by their truck. Sacramento was doing okay on the smoke until yesterday afternoon when we got smothered. Hoping you and your family stay safe.

Have been praying as I read the news, and will certainly continue.
Stay safe!

I hope the family stays safe. As of 11 pm they are holding the line at Foresthill. I am hoping with the temps dropping they can get a better hold on it.
