Prayers and pixie dust for my son Dan Updated post 60

You are in my prayers. I know this is hard not being there with him. It is good that your daughter and his girlfriend are and you can come in with fresh eyes to
bring them strength and support each other. Keep us posted when you can.

prayers said for all of you!!
have a safe trip back to him!!
keep us updated!

{{{Hugs}}}, Kathy. I will keep my fingers crossed that his injuries aren't serious and he'll be back to work soon.

I'm saying many prayers for your Dan! My Dan just broke his ankle this week! Not a good week for kids named Dan! ;)

For a Speedy recovery! :wizard: Don't you hate it when the "kids" get hurt when you are miles away? :guilty:

Oh sweetie, I am so sorry...prayers said. I hope he gets better very soon. :grouphug:

I always give that lecture before I leave town and he shrugs his shoulders and says Mom!!! What kind of trouble do you think I am going to get into.

I feel better since I talked with him.

Thank you everyone. It means so much.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll get that seat tomorrow!

Anne

I have to call 3 hours ahead but she said the afternoon flight is wide open so hopefully I will have no problems getting that one.

If you could say a little prayer and sprinkle some pixie dust for my son I sure would appreciate it.

He was working on a car today and the coolant exploded out and burned him on his face, chest, arms. They took him by ambulance to the hospital. He is a mechanic and knows how to handle working on cars.

I am out of town on business and will be trying to fly out in the morning. Thank goodness for cell phones. My daughter and his girlfriend are with him at the hospital.

Thank you everyone.

UPDATE- SAT. evening

I got the chance to talk with him this evening. He has 2nd degree burns on his face, arms, chest. He is shivering from the burns. They have been giving him morphine but he says it doesn't seem to help the pain.

He said he apologized to the ambulance crew for making them come to the scene. He didn't want a fuss made. They are going to keep him for a few more hours and see how he is. If they release him he will have to go back and have his bandages changed for awhile.

I have to call the airline in the morning about a standby seat but I feel better having talked with him. He will be off work for awhile but thankfully it could have been much worse.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. It really does help.

glad to hear you had a chance to talk to him. i am sure it made yourself, and him feel much better to at least connect. i hope they can get the pain under control for him.

Good wishes and prayers for your son, Kathy, so sorry to hear that. Sure do hope he is feeling better real soon and has no lasting results from it.

how scary for him and he should see some of the reasons people call for an amubulance-he shouldnt feel bad at all

I got home last evening to see for myself how my son is. He really got burned. It is his cheeks, neck. entire chest and going under the left side, and his left arm.

He has to go for therapy this week while they take care of his skin. It is really pretty bad but he is antsy and wants to go back to work.

We thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. It meant so much to all of us.
