We had our PPO BOG last week and I wanted to share our experience.
First, if you are planning to drive to MK, be aware that the construction in the front of the TTC is a massive pain! The walk from where the tram drops you off to the bag check is long and will add some time getting in so plan an additional few minutes.
We got to MK around 7:20 AM and took a brisk walk from the Simba parking lot to the TTC, went through bag check and got on the resort monorail. We arrived at the MK gate at 7:45, checked in with the CM and got our PPO breakfast paper and stood in the crowd to the left.
They held us at the front under the train station until 7:55 AM. When we walked into the park, the CM's guided everyone to the right of the castle, toward where Merida meets. The path near Sleep Hollow is blocked off because of construction right now. We then took the path behind the castle by the wishing well and then straight to BOG. We even stopped for a photopass photographer behind the castle!
Check in was smooth, although they were sending everyone to the ordering kiosks on the right because the pre-order registers weren't open yet. We had pre-ordered so we just checked our order, paid with our MB and went in.
DH and I shared the Feast a la Gaston and no one batted an eye. We're not big eaters in the morning and it wasn't a huge plate of food, but definitely enough for us. We got the gluten free version (I'M GF) and I took the pastries with me when we left. We also had coffee and water. We had our food by 8:05 AM. I forgot to mention that my ADR time was 8:15, but it didn't matter. They let everyone in and start serving whenever you get there.
We were the first people in line for 7DMT at approx. 8:20. They hold you on the side of 7DMT, not in front, and the CM manning the line doesn't let anyone in front of 7DMT. We enjoyed talking to the CM to pass the time (especially about the upcoming Star Wars madness!) and she led us through the regular queue around 8:55. They lead you, which I like, so no one rushes past anyone. We requested the back row and were on and off the first train by 9:03 AM. By then, the rope drop crowd was flooding the line. We were able to continue to other rides with no wait.
I would definitely do it again! I hope it helps someone with their planning, especially the note about the construction in front of the TTC. Plan on some additional time to get through that.
