PPO BOG and EMM Thoughts

I have what used to be a PPO reservation for BOG at 8am, but now they have added EMM for that day. This is my last day at the parks and was hoping to make the most of my time.

Would it be wise to keep the reservation? Or would doing EMM be worth the money?

The crowds at EMM are very low, so it should have no impact on your BOG PPO. We did EMM at MK and loved it. Nice breakfast buffet open till 10am, riding 7dmt, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh over and over, great Photopass pictures without crowds in the background. We are scheduled to do it again next trip. But worth is a personal judgment.

- All reports are it does not impact crowd wise for photos etc.
- Now if working properly you will not be permitted to ride 7DMT until it opens to rope drop folks but you should be first in the standby line.
- Keeping depends on if you were planning to use strictly for PPO 7DMT.
- Keeping still gives you photo ops, breakfast, and front row positioning for ride.

We did the DHS EMM, and TSMM (and other things) were closed to all guests but EMM until the park opened. It was ours only until 9 am. Then we went for breakfast.

Chiming in with a recent experience...
Our family and friends had a BOG 9/18 at 8:05am-also a EMM morning. Let in with EMM crowd at 7:45, went straight back to BOG (had preordered) and lined up on the left with only 4 people on preorder side in front of us. Non pre-order on the right and the line grew long quickly. Went in, paid, found a seat, checked out the different rooms and were served by 8:15. Didn't rush to eat and we all enjoyed it! (Was concerned bc of all the posts I read regarding value/portion size/etc). Went to the restroom and were out the door at 8:43. Down the the path to mine train they were lining up SDMT BOG folks on the left and at 8:45 we were led to the ride (about 25 of us). Didn't really notice any EMM crowd.

First time on SDMT and everyone loved it...were off the ride at 7:52 and could have rode again before rope drop crowd made it, but headed to carousel then PP. The PPO ADR worked great for my group and would do it again...though the ride wasn't down which could throw a wrench in the plans. For us...it put us way ahead of my touring plan (and thanks to these boards which I read faithfully from afar for all the tips and insights into making this trip a huge success!!)

I would keep it! We just got back from a trip last week, and had an 8:05am ADR at BOG on Sunday 9/25, which was also an EMM morning. I really did not notice any difference in crowd from our early BOG ADR last year! We pre-ordered the night before, were in and sitting and eating by about 8:10am. Out at 8:40am, and there was a small line for PPO ADR people for 7DMT. They led us over to the ride at about 8:45am, just ahead of the rope drop crowd, but the ride was down :( Would have worked like a charm! We decided to not wait for the ride to start running again, since we had FP's for it twice later in the week. But, anyways, I did not notice at all, any additional crowd because of EMM.
