PPO at 8:00 am, now park opens at 8

Really wanted to get some pictures on Main Street with fewer people. They changed park opening to 8 and our ADR is also at 8. My question is would they let us in before the crowds or is it too bad(especially since I heard they usually let crowd in about 15 min early) Thanks for your help, just not sure what to do with ADR.

They usually open gates around 7:45, so they won't let you in earlier. If you just have the ADR for an empty Main Street, cancel. :-(
If you have the ADR cause you want to eat there then keep it.
Sucks when they do that, throws off all the planning.

No real advice, but when this happened to us for our June trip, I canceled our PPO ADR. I book them so we're in ahead of the crowds and it seemed pointless to keep it when it would just put us at least 45 minutes behind everyone without one.

Yea they usually will open the park ahead of the scheduled opening. So it could open at 7:30 or 7:45. I doubt they'll let you in ahead of opening for your 8am adr

It does, but trying to keep it all in perspective. Not the end of the world, just kinda annoying to have to change plans for the day only 30 days out.

I dislike that they do this. I am currently trying to decide whether I want to keep our breakfast ADR for CP. I quite enjoy the meal there, and made the ADR for the meal, not just to get into the park early, but I'm not terribly sure I want to sit down to eat while the park fills up with people. There is only one other day we are going to MK that I COULD do the CP breakfast, but there are no ADR's open for early that day, though I will keep checking. Gonna have to consider this carefully. If I had CP booked for more than one breakfast, I'd drop this one like a hot potato, but it is the only CP breakfast I booked, so decisions decisions decision.
