PPO ADR at Sci-FI and TSMM

Next Friday I have an 8:05 ADR for breakfast at Sci-Fi. I do not have a FP+ for TSMM, so I want to ride it at park opening. Can someone please tell me their experience with getting to the ride after breakfast? My concern is that the gate will have opened and I'll be behind large crowds at the internal ropes.

I booked the breakfast because it looks like something I would enjoy, not to gain an advantage to the ride, but at the same time, I don't want it to put me at a disadvantage

IMO you won't be able to enjoy breakfast and also RD for TSMM.

The gates will be open by 8:45, and people will already be at internal ropes by that point. We did the rope drop for TSMM and still waited about a half hour last week. We were out by 9:15 and the wait was already at least 60 minutes.

Just bumping this to see if anyone has any experience with scifi and pre park opening breakfast and timing.

My DH and I actually just did this yesterday. We figured we wouldnt get out of the breakfast to make TSMM Without huge lines so we made the breakfast reservation later (9:15). We got to the gates at 8:30. They let us in the turnstiles at 8:45, we were held at internal gates until regular opening time and we had riden TSMM by 9:10. We then had a great breakfast at Sci-Fi (I highly recommend the crab and eggs) and we used our first fastpass at Rockin Rollercoaster at 10:05. It was an awesome morning. The only downside was that we didnt get to walk an empty park or skip the masses at the turnstiles but we thought it was worth it.
