This is what we're getting instead:

Bah. I might've tried a poutine-flavoured doughnut just out of curiosity. These look very standard and boring and wouldn't justify a trip to Tims.
I'll go to David's Tea instead and get some of their Oh Canada tea!![]()
So I thought I might be willing to take one for the team and go and try this concoction out, but alas, they are only going to be available in Derby, N.Y.; Hamburg, N.Y.; East Aurora, N.Y.; Rochester Hills, Mich.; and Columbus, Ohio. All of those places are more than a short drive from my home, so somebody else is going to have to pick up that baton and run with it.
With that being said, NFLDERS, can you please send down a box of the maple Timbits and a few of those Nanaimo bar donuts for me. You know...for use in the name of scientific study and all that.
Hamburg N Y. is close enough for me but, I doubt I can convince my pocket book just for those.
I live about 15 minutes from East Aurora... wondering if I should allow my arteries to take a hit for 1 day to try it.... the whole thing where it's on a honey-glazed donut is making me want to pass, though. I can't imagine what that flavor combination is like.
I heard about that. I love TH and I love poutine, but this sounds horrible.Tim Hortons is offering these up for Canada's 150th.
Happy "Almost" 150th Birthday Canadian Disers!
Oh come on. Take one for the team. We need to know how it tastes.I'm only 10 minutes from both East Aurora & Hamburg, but there was no way I was eating that.

So I was just listening to C95 (Saskatoon) and the announcer was discussing the whole poutine donut thing and how it is only being sold in the U.S. He then went on to talk about how even though he loves a salty/sweet combination normally, that he was going to take a hard "NO!" on this one. He finished by adding that "one particular individual joked that poutine donuts are so unhealthy that they can’t be bought in Canada.."And they call Fettuccine Alfredo heart attack on a plate!

Figures!! Something that artery-clogging had to have been designed for a US market!!
I'd take the maple tidbits... yum!
