(not hijacking the post, just adding my outrage and disgust!)
I so totally completely agree with you and I don't care who flames me at this point, things have just gotten rediculous...it's a sad state of affairs that the "Let kids do whatever they want whenever they want especially when at Disney" camp has intimidated the rest of us. There are so many people who will defend their children's atrocious behavior to the GROUND with a nasty glare and a "how DARE YOU" attitude (including people on the Dis)...the whole "They are KIDS and this is DISNEY" argument just doesn't wash. I don't give a rip if you are on vacation and your kid had to pee...teach her some manners, take her to the bathroom like a civilized human being. I don't let my step-kids behavior infringe upon the rights of others just b/c they happen to be 4 and 7. Why? Because they have to understand that the world does NOT revolve around them, it never has and it never will. There are rules that need to be followed...even at Disney. That's reality. Period. To teach them anything else is handicapping them. We are RUINING a future generation by allowing them to think that they are owed something by everyone around them and that doing things like Peeing in public is somehow acceptable just because they are kids. (A woman who routinely walks her son through our neighborhood let her kid pee in our yard one day...when I came out and asked her what on earth she was doing she looked at ME like I was the one with the problem and said "He's a child, he needed to tinkle, what's the big deal?" which was followed by the child saying "Shut up lady"...

there were no words to even EXPLAIN how big the deal truly was) We are raising a generation of children who will have respect for nothing and no one OR themselves. Good lord I weep for the future. Those of us who control our kids and teach them manners are not the ones with the problem. Letting your kids do as they please is not good parenting. It's not allowing them to "be children", it's annoying the rest of us and doing nothing but allowing them to be little hoodlums in training.
I shall end with this...Control your children people. Control yourselves. YES they are annoying when they run screaming through buildings, it's not cute when you allow them to scream "Wingardium Leviosa" over and over and over again as they point their new magic wand at everyone who is waiting for the Wilderness lodge bus.(happened on my honeymoon for a good 30 minutes) Just because you have learned to tune them out does not mean that the rest of us should have to deal with your lack of parenting. Thanks
