Hello the Board!

So the little brother is graduating from USC Medical school in May 2013.

Was this detail absolutely necessary for me to ask my question? Well. . .No. But if you were awarded a Rhodes Scholarship, I'm sure you'd staple the acceptance letter to your forehead. Likewise, given all the time I spent helping him with his homework, essays for jobs, and cooking meals and doing laundry, I'm gonna brag a little.

Moving on. As a result of meeting with some friends in L.A. possibly falling through, I may have a day in L.A., all to my lonesome. Like any good Disney addict, I thought I could take another hit of that sweet, sweet Dole Whippy/hidden mickey/ride going goodness.

So the question. . .Is their any guide to doing a good solo trip on the board? Did a couple of searches didn't find a super thread to start from.

Also. . .Let me know what your favorite tips, tricks, and things to avoid, if you have a second. Thanks in advance for all your time.

Have you been to DL before? Are you staying in LA or closer to Anaheim? If you're staying in LA it will be a minor hassle to get down to DL. Far from unworkable, but something to keep in mind.

I'd say there isn't really anything specific to know. At DL you can pretty much do what you want, when you want. Lots of people are solo at DL at any given moment due to the large population of locals.

Many rides have a single rider line, including Indy, Splash Mountain, and Matterhorn, as well as California Screamin and RSR (Maybe GRR as well?) if you're also doing DCA.

Thanks! That's super helpful.

My brother and I went last year, almost exactly a year ago, as a matter of fact. I was (and am, though to a lesser extent now) a little worried that going by myself simply wouldn't be as fun, or I'd have problems filling the day.

Any other suggestions as to fun things to do solo would be lovely.
