Nice two tiggies!

:)

Jud

Thanks Jud :)

How's your ankle? We had a over a foot of snow last week and I took a tumble down the hill outside my house. No injuries though - just a line of butt prints and elbow marks in the snow :lmao: It's March! What's going on?!

Hehehehee... she said butt! Hehehehehee...

Heading up to Gainesville tomorrow after spending lots of time being switched from extension to extension on the phone today and finally getting some answers. If all goes well, that should wrap up the "treatment" and then just wait 6-8 weeks for the healing time. Yesterday was nasty- lasted 5 days long! and then awake all night, but today is not bad... Haven't broken a bone since I was 9 so pretty much all new to me.

Sorry to hear about your 'bad break' Jud! Sounds like you have been in some pain! Hopefully you are now on the mend!

I never broke anything until middle age and by first breaking a bone in my foot then I broke my ankle hiking around Mt. Rainier a couple of years ago and hiked four miles with it broken. But I successfully avoided a hard cast by postponing the x-ray and limped around in a boot for six weeks (anything to avoid a hard cast and crutches).

In comparison, I thought the "high boot" sprain was far worse than either break; took months to heal and still aches sometimes.

"Bad break"... hehehehehee... oooo! Wise guy eh?

Sounds like you were studying variations on a theme- I had no such interest... ewwwww...

Wait a minute.....Did I miss something? You broke yourself??

Hehehehee... Jud fall down go boom!

Or, to put it another way, "Florida Man Slips on Ice and Breaks Ankle: film at 11!"

:)

Jud

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. I've never broken anything unless you count my pinky toe but I didn't go to the doctor for that. I hope you feel better soon!

I'll stick with the sleeping gentleman. He must have woken up at some point because his utensils have moved. :rotfl:

Not studying so to speak but maybe flirting with disaster! At least they all happened while I was having fun!

His right hand is also in a different position and maybe the left also. Plus the string on his hat is visible in your picture and not in the first. So, yes, he must have definitely gotten up and moved around a bit. Probably after all the guests leave each day -- must get rough having to lay so still for hours while people stare at you. :rotfl:

Jud, sorry about your ankle. You found ice to slip on in Florida?

I've never seen this, is it on Tom Sawyer's Island?

It is. We haven't hopped over there for a couple of years and really must do it again. I remember when DD was 6 she was part frightened and part fascinated with this guy. She kept squirming and looking away but couldn't help to keep going back for another look. She wouldn't believe me he wasn't real :rotfl:

Haven't you read Kingdom Keepers???

Left it outside on my home-made ECV ramp... wasn't hard to find, just a bit of a surprise...

Once you're on the Island, make your way to Fort Langhorn:

Go inside and look to your left:

Peek through those bars and you'll see all kinds of interesting stuff. :)

Fort Langhorn (and Tom Sawyer Island as a whole) is a great place to explore, especially for kids. There are many hidden details just waiting to be found!
