POTC Update!!!

I just read on another website that POTC will be open the two weeks around Easter. That would April 8th - 23rd. This is more than likely in response to the high crowds around the busy Easter holdiay. The website states Phase 1 of the rehab will be done before The week leading up to Easter. POTC will open for the two weeks before and after Easter. Phase 2 will begin after the week following Easter.
I believe the original schedule had POTC closed until July 1st.

This is good news for those going the week before or week after Easter.

I hope so, we are going April 6-13. DH and DD were upset about missing it.

YEA! - Do you know for sure if this is the case? I'm going the week before Easter and it's the first time for my family and we may not get back for several more years. I was sad we had to miss this.

Does anyone know the exact dates it will be reopened? We'll be in MK on Fri the 7th and would really love to see it!!

I'd also like to know the exact dates, as we will be at WDW starting April 23rd, and if POTC will still be open on Sunday, April 23rd, we'll plan to go to MK that evening. Was planning to go to either EP of DS becuz of expected crowds at MK becuz of EMH that night, but will change plans in order to see POTC if it will be open.

Here's what I had posted on TNT back on February 3rd:

I received an update on closure dates. Right now POTC in WDW is scheduled to close early March until April 2nd. This will be a refurb for existing AAs and such. Then it closes again in the beginning of May through June for installation of the Jack Sparrow AAs and any other movie-related enhancements and effects.

I wasn't given anything more specific than that.

I finally got my DD to go on it last trip so I was excited to be able to go again after missing it for a couple of years.
