Does anyone know if the Pot Stickers and the Sticky Wings at Kona are the same ones they serve at Ohana? If so that would be wonderful! I have been loosing weight in preperation for the Princess Half and have decided I wouldn't want to go to Ohana's for dinner (too much food), but I would miss the pot stickers and the sticky wings. If I can order them as a appetizer that would be much better.

I know that you can get the wings at the Tambu Lounge right outside of 'Ohana - but I'm not sure about the potstickers.

Disney Food Blog says:
"The sticky wings [at Kona Cafe] are pretty much the same as the ‘Ohana appetizers, and they’re wonderful."

As far as the potstickers... I think 'Ohana's are pork and Kona's are duck, so I don't think they're the same, but don't quote me on that :)

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2 Hopefully someone else knows about the pot stickers. At least I know I can get the wings. Yumm

The wings at 'Ohana are NOT the same wings that they serve at Kona. When we ate at Kona, the chef had to get wings for one of my kids from 'Ohana because the ones at Kona were marinated in something she was allergic to but the ones at 'Ohana aren't. I don't know if they taste similar or not (it looks like they do based on that blog posted by PP) but they most definitely are not the same.

The pot stickers are very different as well. At 'Ohana if I recall they're crispy and maybe pork. At Kona they were softer, made with duck and they had a very rich to-die-for creamy ginger-soy sauce. I personally thought that those Kona pot stickers are one of the yummiest things I've ever eaten at WDW.

I second clanmcculloch. Definitely NOT the same for the wings or the potsickers. The potstickers aren't even close. All are tasty not not the same and the portions at Kona are so huge you might as well just go to Ohana.

So glad to hear that the wings and pot stickers at Kona are better than what they serve at 'Ohana. :thumbsup2

Often when I go to Kona I will have the sticky wings appetizer as my main course., And it does come with salad.

Thanks for all the replies. I really love the pot stickers at Ohana, does anyone know if there is anywhere else on property to get them?

I don't know if they are similar, but Yak n Yeti TS over at AK has potstickers and wings on their app menu. Take a look.

I love the pot stickers at Y&Y as well, but they are not the same ones. Thanks for the suggetstion.

Different but delicious. But I'll be honest with you, we love the food at Kona so much I always come out being just as stuffed as 'Ohana.:confused3

You're right. The duck pot stickers at Kona were to die for. We were there on Oct 31st of this year and the pot stickers were pork. Server said the menu had been updated. It was one of our favorite restaurants but both of us were less than pleased with our meal this year. :sad2:
Sticky wings and the bread were still great though.

Ohana doesn't serve "pot stickers" they serve a deep fried pork dumpling. There is a huge difference. Pot stickers are not deep fried, they are only fried on one side, then steamed. Hence the name pot stickers....because that one side sticks to the pot! Obviously, something deep fried is crispy all over. Pot stickers will only be crispy on one side, and soft and doughy on the rest.

That being said, we love the pot stickers at Kona! We also like the deep fried dumplings at Ohana, but they're not at all the same thing. Not even close. If you're looking for a crispy deep fried thing, you will not find that with the Kona pot stickers.

As to the wings, I find the Kona wings to be similar to Ohana's wings, but still different. You may find the wings are "close enough" to enjoy, but the pot stickers are not even close to the same dish.

1) No.
2) Both are different.
3) They are unique to Ohana.
4) And, not available elsewhere on WDW property.

Add me to the list that thinks the sticky wings at Kona are BETTER than the ones at O'hana. We just ask for no "mustard drizzle" since my wife doesn't like mustard. Kona is probably our favorite non-signature restaurant in WDW.

Ohana or Tambu Lounge (after 5).

We tried to order the wings while we were indulging in our drinks and found out the hard way that you can't order food until Ohana opens.

I think we will eat at Kona since many of you think they are better there anyway, thanks for the advice!
