I did these two pages today, I'm not sure if I like them or not, can I get some opinions please? Sorry about my pictures, I'm not the greatest photographer.

The words on the right of the "Peace Keeping" page is a quote by General Douglas Macarthur that was on the paper I used.

You got me with the topic.:) The pages (and the peace keepers!) are perfect just the way they are!

My thanks to your peacekeeper for keeping us safe.

They're wonderful!!

Like Lisa said, thanks to your family & to your DH!!! :thumbsup2

They look great. Too many embelishments can overwhelm your photos, I think they look good, of course I tend to do fairly clean and simple scrapping myself.

I like them too and I like the bottom one better with Peace Keeping in the left.

Yeah, that's the way they were supposed to be, I just posted the first two pics backwards :upsidedow . It's supposed to say "peace keeping mission".

Rlovew, that's what I wasn't sure about. I didn't feel like I had enough embellishment on these pages, but on the other hand I thought they were okay the way they were, I couldn't really find anything to add that I thought improved them.

Thank-you for the replies, everyone. I can't believe it's been 7 years since those pics were taken. I wonder if DH will realize how long it actually took me to make this album, he'll probably think I started it the night before he flies home or something :rotfl: .

They look great. Thanks for posting them. And thanks for his service.

I'm working on an album of my dad's Air Force pics from basic, a training school, and Korea. It's nice to see someone else's pages to get some ideas.

Mine are black and white, and I haven't really done much black and white scrapping until now. (This was the 50's, and some of the pics were actually developed by my dad on base.) I don't really know what colors things actually were and what colors to use on the layouts.

I'd love to find patterns for paper piecings that I could use, like emblems, insignia, etc. Have you seen any such resources? TIA

I got alot of ideas from TwoPeas, I looked at the military layouts on there for inspiration.

I got alot of the products I used from this website: www.creatingmilitarymemories.com They have fast shipping and I was really pleased with my order, they have products for all the branches of Service.

The pages I'm working on now are from Dh's Bosnia deployment, that's what the ones I posted are from, but I'll be doing Korea, too. For that I am hoping to use some of the Old World paper, I just order some from Joanns. I'm trying to branch out from greens, khakis, and patriotic patterns.

For those of you working on deployments in Korea there is also a Far East collection by Die Cuts with A View. Our Joann's had this one and the Old World. I think either would be great.

I had a hard time deciding between the two, I liked them both, but I ended up with Old World, do they have more to go with it besides paper, like stickers and embellishments? I think I need to look at it some more...
