Hello all,

I am making major "finds" this week....first Target's $1 Spot and now this!! pixiedust: Pixie dust...already. For sure. :thumbsup2

So I have been pouring over the boards for months on end for great tips/tricks, and have found many (too many probably, but that's another post). Thanks to all. What I haven't been able to find was a child's ID that I liked, and that worked for us (the shoe one was nice, but I wasn't sure that DD would always wear shoes that would work with it; the lanyard/card idea sounded fine, but I was afraid DD would hang herself with it - or swing it around and whack her brother in the face; a sharpie pen on the arm/leg - definitely one that a CM would easily notice, but I really didn't want to tattoo DD for the week).

So, I started searching on the web and found a great site that makes embossed/engraved silicone bracelets like the "LIVESTRONG" ones that everyone and their mother was wearing last summer (www.rekeydesigns.com). All kinds of colors, toddler and children's sizes, many fonts to choose from (including a Disney-inspired font), cute graphics you can add, and you decide what it says. CUTE! So I ordered a pink one, that will read "Mom & Dad (###) ###-####" (with our cell number of course :thumbsup2 ) with a heart on it. Better yet - I found that this company also sells on ebay and I ordered one for about $7.50, including shipping. From the website they are $7.00, plus shipping I assume. Either way, I'm happy with the cost and I think they'll be a cute way to make sure we are reunited "if mommy gets lost".

I couldn't pull up the website that you posted... :confused3 ...is it just me who is having the problem?

What a wonderful idea with the wrist bands. I have the who's shoes ids and wondered what I was going to due on sandal days.

Thanks for the website. Let's hope I can get them by next Friday!

:)

I ordered two last night! Thank you! They are brillant and perfect, as I had childrens names and our hotel and my cell phone number put on there.

now i'm torn- would love to have them made up for all of us who are going for our "annual" trip but like the idea of my son having our info attached to him. Not that I plan on losing the 1 yr old but does anyone know how small they come? just curious.
...t.

try one step ahead they have velcro band that go on shoes but could go on belt loops. :thumbsup2

Great Find! Ordered 3 tonight with Mommy's cell # engraved!

I emailed the company to see how fast turn around was adn they said I should have it by Thursday, which is perfect since we leave Friday morning!!

Thanks! This is great! I ordered one for each of my girls -- they'll be great for our other day trips to the zoo/museum/whatever, too. It was hard to figure out what I could fit on there, so I managed their names, plus mine and DH's cell numbers. . . I think that was 29 spaces!

Thanks for posting this. I had been trying to come up with a way of attaching our phone #'s to my DS. Something not too obvious and still cool enough for him to want to wear. This is it. :cheer2:

Wonderful! I can't wait to order. And for those with really little ones: I plan to put my DS2's on his ankle instead of wrist. With shoes, it will not fall off, and he won't (I hope) mess with it. :cool1:

Edited to add: I just ordered, and like the OP said, if you go through their ebay store you get a discount on multiple bands. I ordered one for each child, plus a "Santa is Watching Award" one. Each night of our trip, one child will be chosen to wear that one the next day, based on good behavior. We go in Dec. right before Christmas, hence the Santa thing. I also ordered an adult one for a fun joke award each night for the adult who follows my tour plans without whining. It's called the WWTGMD? Award (What Would Tour Guide Mike Do). It's just a joke! ;)
