oogieboogie you are officially my favorite Diser of all time - those photos are so wonderful...both to see what different items look like, and to take a mini memory vacation to the old familiar ones. A question for you - how do you decide where you're going to eat before you go? Oh and the plain chicken breast your son had made me laugh out loud! Kids!!!

I have officially warned DH that I will be taking photos of our meals during our next trip. Thank you to everyone who has posted photos - I think the idea of having photo menus on here is GREAT!

I realized after we got back from the recent trip that is what I should have done also...take a photo of the menu. I'm always telling DH that I want to take one home to keep. So, this Christmas I will be the camera geek taking photos of food and menus!!

A question for you - how do you decide where you're going to eat before you go?

Before each trip, DH writes down a list. He breaks it down by days. Each day we plan what park we're thinking on doing based on EMH days or what's going on that day. Then in each of those days we plan where we want to eat based on our favorites and some new places we'd like to try.

We're big fans of the dining section of allearsnet.com. We look at the menus and figure out what sounds good and what would work for us. That builds our budget for the trip too, so pretty much before the trip we're all set on where we want to eat, what we want to eat, and when.

When we get there, we'll tweak and change our plans depending on the mood but always with allearsnet's menu in hand.

This next trip we'll be on the dining plan, and believe me DH and I have already begun our plan of attack. That and we've got Food and Wine to top it off... man... we'll be in heaven!

I would love to see a picture of the Chateaubriand for Two from the Yachtsman Steakhouse if anyone has a picture of that....I just made a Ressie yesterday for 9/24, we are going on the premium pkg so we have a PS (oopps Advance Reservation ) for breakfast, lunch and dinner for each day of the trip!

Oh, I caught some flack there for the first couple of times I took pics of the food. BUT, after that everyone was making sure to remind me to take picutres of their food before they ate. My nephew was the worst, he would yell at anyone who picked up a fork or spoon before I took a picture.

You're right, it was Disney Magic... we had a lot of chocolate that week, this was in ourroom on arrival

The menu on allearsnet says that the french menu at dinner comes with onion soup and doesn't mention salad. Has that changed?

Hi Grim! I think the fixed french menu does come with onion soup. I just ordered separately off the menu and selected what I wanted.

I want to try Chefs de France on our Christmas trip and DH is all for it, but not sure if I can convince DS...he's pretty good about trying new food, but all the French names on the menu don't appeal to him, so thanks for the photos...I can show him that it's real food, not icky!

Laura, maybe the Dessert Sampler will win him over. My DH ordered this and thoroughly enjoyed it. While I was enjoying every morsel of my Creme Brulee, he was tasting a little bit of everything!

Woohoo...I finally made it through all the pages...(It's only taken me about a week!) The Marketplace and Beaches and Cream look so good for quick meals....do both require a PS though? Stupid question for the day -- Is the Marketplace really a market, or is it a restaurant too?

Beaches & Cream doesn't take PS. The best time to go there is the off-times because it can get pretty crowded there.

The Marketplace at BC is just the name of their store. It's the gift store/food store. It has the refillable mug station there as well as other food supplies and of course the sandwiches and treats. You can pick up milk, juice, some premade salads/sandwiches/fruit, etc. The cool thing is they have gelato too, yummy!

I was just looking at the menu's on all ears and I didn't even see a dessert sampler on the menu, is this new?

I saw one on the menu at Bistro De Paris and it was $13.00

Mama Melrose's for lunch was WONDERFUL! We loved it so much that we went back a couple of days later for a late 2pm lunch after the first set of Lights, Motors, Action! We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food so much--especially good to get out of the heat of the day and relax.

No, not a thing!

When we arrived at BC there were balloons and the chocolate strawberries, and several wrapped presents, one was a wooden BC/YC checkers board, one was a princess diary, one was a princess drawing set - these were expensive items I saw the drawing set for 20.00 at downtown disney.

Later in the week this cake was in the room one night, with plates - all chocolate... and then later when we went to AKL for Boma - the chef (or assistant chef? (had a big hat) came by and introduced himself and presented us with the chocolate platter.

It was very magical indeed!
