This is the Chicken Marsala from Planet Hollywood. It never said anything about being the whole leg. I was hoping it would be boneless chicken, as it would have been more enjoyable.

Funny you write that. After I wrote that I got to thinking. I didn't want to wait until our next trip to Disney to go there. My family and I usually have 1 big meal a day usually around 2pm. Saves money and we don't come home 200lbs heavier lol. I said to my DH that I would like to go there, how about having an early lunch and a late dinner. It was fine with him yeah! Our conversation ended within 1 minute I was on the phone with Disney dining. So, lunching in Canada and then he whisks me (and our boys) off to Germany for dinner :woohoo: I think I already know what I'm having for lunch lol

Have a magical day,
Anna

I made my ADR for Le Cellier for August this morning! I am so excited, too!

Michele, can I ask why Whispering Canyon was your least favorite meal? The skillet dinner looks so good to me.

NOW THAT IS JUST TOOOOO CUTE! It must have been enjoyable. I may have to try this on my next trip. DH and DD are big ice cream eaters, I'm sure between the four of us we can finish it off.

Ok, this is JMO and not to be taken to heart, but.....

The skillet had looked amazing to me also, so my mom and niece both ordered it (the more people to order the larger the skillet gets) and I got some fish (see wasn't all that memorable). Anyway, the ribs were DROWNING in BBQ sauce, the chicken was slimey, the mashed potatoes were lumpy...Not sure what was the issue since I am not pickey and all my meals while @ Disney exceeded my expectations, but we all left here saying we wouldn't return, and that kind of stinks, since I loved visiting the WL and enjoyed the atmosphere of the WCC (even though that wasn't what I expected, it was actually fairly quiet and it took till after our dessert for anything to happen---the pony races, but even our waiter was boring ) Maybe an off day?

Here's the Ice cream at the Ice Cream Social (old picture), take no notice of the drooling penguin....

Our feelings exactly! The very 1st time we went there..I think it was in '96...it was wonderful! We have been 3 times since then and each time has been worse than the other. Thank Goodness we were on the free dining plan the last time or I would have been ticked...between dh, me and 6 of our kids we ate 2 helpings of cornbread, a milkshake for one of the kids, and a banana foster dessert thing. Nobody liked any of their entrees. Our waitress was not very friendly and we didn't see her much.

We kept thinking maybe it was a bad day each of the other times we had been there (except for the 1st time) and we give it another chance. I can tell you...we won't be back.

I apprciate your point of view. Thanks for the info. I'm hoping it was an off day lol. We are staying there, at the WL. Thanks.

Have a magical day,

I wasn't thrilled with the skillet at WCC but the pasta was pretty good. DD had the steak and enjoyed it. Its a fun place not a fine dining place.

Thanks for the input. Fun is as important as tasty lol. Enjoy the cold weather here on Long Island.

Have a magical day,

Can you order it in the restaurants? Or only in the deluxe resort rooms? I'm staying at pop but would like to go have one of these. And can you remember how much it was?

We won't be back to WCC either. We had excellent meals in all the years we have been to WDW & we aren't picky by any means, but our experience at WCC last Oct was the absolute worst dining experience we have ever, ever, ever had (& thats saying something..we live in NY! :rotfl2: )

Horrible waitress. She was rude & we had to keep asking other staff to find her. Took over 2 hours to get the heck out of there. Got our order wrong, charged us incorrectly on the DDP, & the skillet tasted like all the meat was boiled. Theres more to the story but it was very unpleasant..eventually the manager came over & tried to be helpful which he was not.We don't argue when dining goes bad..we just left & will not return.

So glad ( :scratchin ) to hear that others have had a horrible time, too! We were so excited to try WCC and ended up with a truly strange server :confused3 , a silent restaurant, and an overwhelming desire to get out of there! Food (skillet) was pretty bad, too (and my taste is pretty elementary). LOVE the resort, hate the restaurant!

We went at an off time of day (late lunch) and the restaurant was quiet as well. Our server was friendly and attentive but we didn't experience the lively atmosphere that we had heard about. She did her best to make things interesting and we appreciated that. This trip we are going right in the thick of dinner hour so we are hoping to see more of what we have been hearing soooo much about. I ordered the skillet for one and have to disagree with the above posters as mine was quite good and I am a picky rib and chicken guy. You won't beat the ribs at DTD Rainforest Cafe there(GO MOJOBONES!) :thumbsup2 , but I liked them very much. Again it depends on who is cooking as well. We are looking forward to another fun time!!!!

I don't have time to search the entire thread but I remember seeing posts of food from Boardwalk resort for breakfast. Do they have a walk up fast food type of place at the Boardwalk resort? I am thinking of trying this resort next year but we always eat at the resort for breakfast and I was worried about that not being at this resort. Let me know. Thanks!

Hey Mef78 we will be there at the same time as you. If you happen to see us don't be afraid to say hi, we will be the ones with two kids........... :rotfl2:
