Hi Maggie,

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you - I was at WDW again for the EE AP preview :) , but I brought back a bad cold bug as an unwanted souvenier :(.

I still don't know what that soup is, but I'll ask my daughter when she wakes up to see if she remembers. The chicken pasty is something like a chicken pot pie, I think (I wasn't the one who had this, either), with chicken and veggies in a cream sauce in a pastry. Those veggies with it are green beans, but I don't really know what veggies are in the pasty. The guiness stew, I actually know about, since I was the one who had that! It was fantastic. I don't drink beer (or any other alcohol) at all, and it didn't taste "beery" to me. It just had a really good flavor, very rich, and the beef was super tender. I can certainly recommend it.

Thank you for the reply. I think I will order the beef stew. And if you can't remember the name of the soup, I wonder if I can just print the picture and show it to the waitress and say, "I want this." :rotfl2:

Ok, I think the soup in question must have been the lamb and barley, and the whiter soup was the potato leek.

Here are some pictures from this weekend. I forgot to take pictures of things, and what I did take pictures of I had already started to eat/drink when I remembered to. But I figured somebody would still like to see them.

Mlill, those are fantasic pics. of the V&A food items. They are really more like art pieces rather than food, lol.

I went there actually a few years ago when I was 13 with my family and two other friends (my sister was only 14). We absolutly loved it! The only thing I would say about the problem of younger children who are well-behaved is that they probably will not have a clue of what they are eating! LOL. I know I had a lot of trouble trying to just say the names of some of that food. Some of the food is unlike any other, but still tastes out of this world!

When we went, though, we had a MAJOR problem! My dad had forgotten his jacket at HOME!!! LOL. By the time he found out his problem there wasn't much time to buy a new one. He went through all the shops at the GF, but none sold jackets. He ended up having to borrow one from the restaurant for that night. They are really strict on the dress code!

The only problem I had with V&A was that I am allergic to seafood, and since I had no clue what I was eating, it was hard for me to feel assured that it didn't have fish in it, lol. I know that they make a record of people who have certain allergies, but I was 13, and was very scared that my vacaction would be ruined by a piece of food, LOL.

We are planning on going back this summer, and I can't wait! :goodvibes

Oh *tsk* *tsk* *tsk* mbike, forgetting his jacket!! :teeth:

My niece is allergic to shellfish and I know how scary it can be to dine out and have to worry about that. Last year she had a problem while on a cruise and had a bad reaction to her meal that was *supposedly* not anywhere near shellfish.

Have a great trip this summer, "front"! :thumbsup2 :sunny:

That's funny! You think someone would have checked the spelling before they put it on display. I can understand missing one word by mistake, but I found four words spelled wrong.

:sunny: ,
Katie

Yeah, you would definitely think they would double check the spelling before they put that out
