hi, just seen the photo of the volcano, could anyone please tell me where this is available, the kids are drooling all over the computer thanks susie2

I've been sick all week, and haven't been able to look the food pictures in the face - I must be officially on the mend, because they're starting to look good again!

The volcano cake photo was taken at Rainforest Cafe...I'm not sure which one the OP of the photo was at, but all of the RFCs have the dessert, which is pretty big...the only difference between locations is if the sparklers are actually lit sparklers or just silver streamer ones. I think it costs $11.99 for the Volcano cake. It is kinda cool how they bring it out from the kitchen...as the server approaches he/she is yelling...

"Vooooooooolllllllllccccccaaaaaaannnnnooooooo!!!"

Hope this helps!

Dessert

Oooohhh Ahhhhhhh. I'm definitely going to have to starve myself before we leave for the wedding. We will be there 2 days before the ceremony and I think that I'm going to eat so much that I won't fit into my dress!

After reading all of this, I'm seriously considering extending our trip so we'll be able to eat at more of these restaurants! The food looks delish!! :teeth:

Thanks for the pic Margj!

I always have written Alfredos off but your pics, especially of desserts, have me reconsidering

We are also considering LeCellier for lunch. Did you think the portions we adequate??

What did you thinkof Marachesh(I know I can't spell)

TIA!
Sue

The lunch portions at LeCellier do look sparse but there was plenty of food especially since you get the breadsticks. The plates are very large so that tends to dwarf your food. Marrakesh was a surprise to me, I did not think I would like it but we have been there twice now & I love it. The food is nicely spiced but not in the least bit spicy. Alfredo's was another surprise. I had read so many bad things that I was afraid to try this until a friend told me this was one of their favorite places. Alfredo's is now one on the top of my list. I have more pictures that I will try to get up this weekend.

The pictures of the zebra domes look wonderful, just one question do they have coffee in them? I can't stand coffee so would have to miss them.

I just posted our desserts on another thread - thought I'd add it to the food porn thread - let out your belts, I feel like I gain weight just by looking LOL

I'm sure these are repeats...

The kid s'more dessert at LeCellier (she preferred the mousse!) this looks better than it tastes!!

Ah...my favorite thread...

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

1. new photos make great excuses to call my very best friends at Disney Dining who have got to be sick of me by now and make yet another change/addition to my trip plan.

2. decadent desserts, calorie free! (as long as I can only SEE them, that is...)

3. Virtual WDW trip through food, available 24/7.

4. The knowledge that WDW must have at least 400 different kinds of onion rings in every size and width possible.

5. learning that the No Way Jose looks as close to peanut butter chocolate heaven as it gets (Reeses PB cups notwithstanding).

6. discovering that people really do order and finish the Kitchen Sink, and maybe...just maybe...someday my family will be up to the challenge.

7. Having more than 2500 posts of proof that I am not the only person who marches through Disney on my stomach...!

So here's to all the Food Porn Thread Addicts!!!! :cheer2:

pics pics, more pics...must have more. OMG, I have become a Disney Food picture adict. :lmao:

I leave in 3 days and will be back with food pics. :) Last time in January, I told myself that I would definately take pictures. But I felt like such a weirdo that I couldn't get myself to take the pics. :rotfl2: I was afraid that the very attractive waiters in Alfredo's and Chefs de France would that I was a nutcase. :rotfl:

I will take pics! I promise! :thumbsup2

the pictures are wonderful, we will be in disney in october and will be trying the food and wine festival, but after seeing the chocolate fountain this will be first on the list, please where can this be found, thanks susie

That was part of the "Party of the Senses" (you can read all about it on www.allearsnet.com - search Party of the senses)

It is held on Saturday nights, and it cost an additional $90 per person. The room is set up to give a "taste" of culinary delights - lobster, Kobe beef, shrimp, mushrooms, risottos,(these are the standouts - what I remember sampling last year) just amazing creations done by many different chefs... and then there are samples of Wines from simple whites, to wonderful Merlots, Shiraz, Cabernets... from Australia, Champagne from France was there, as well as Remy Martin and a Cognac sample - and of course Ice Wines and Rieslings (sweet, and powerful!!)

Your $90 gets you a commerative Ridel Wine Glass, and you get a plate to use when you go up to get the food offerings - you can keep the glass...

And last year Cirque de Solie did perform in the center - it was from 7pm till 10 I think??? We definately got our moneys worth, and then some!!
