Post your Christmas Dinner Menu

We are celebrating with DH's family on December 23rd. This is what I'm serving:

Filet Mignon (Paula Deen's recipe)
Twice Baked Potatoes (Again, Paula Deen)
Spinach Gratin (Barefoot Contessa)
Fresh Carrots
Rolls
Sauteed Mushrooms (Paula Deen)

Molten Lava Chocolate Cakes for dessert.

Our Christmas Day will just be the three of us, plus my MIL. I'm not sure what I'm doing for Christmas. Something simple.

This sounds good! Someday when I host Christmas dinner at my house, I'm going to make a Mexican feast too. :woohoo:

My grandparents usually have a ham and traditional stuff with it, and also lots of desserts. :)

It's fantastic. Dad makes everything from scratch...secret recipes that he's finally shared with us. It's our favorite meal of the year. :)

You can get the strawberry cheesecake ice cream pie from Schwan's. I am not a good baker! :guilty:

Her Brandied Steakside Mushrooms? I test-made them a few weeks back and OMG, they are wonderful!!! Making them with:

Prime Rib
Garlic Yukon Gold mashed potatoes
Salad
Corn (only veggie my BIL likes)
some other veggie
Rolls
Splenda apple pie for dessert

Easy one this year:
Prime Rib
Baked potato
Salad
Rolls
Cold Stone Xmas Cake

For Christmas dinner, since my crustacean allergic nephew won't be with us, we are having individual gratin dishes of crustaceans of choice--lobster, jumbo shrimp, and king crab (out of shell) in a thermidor sauce, plus crispy potato cakes and asparagus. In addition, we'll have my Mom's homemade Christmas rolls/breads with French extra fat butter. Dessert is always Mom's pecan pie, though I haven't had a slice in years--too full from dinner! :)

Thanks for the Info. I now going to see if one is in my area Schwan's.

Christmas Eve will be our big meal as that is when we will have the kids. MIL will also be joining us.

Loin of Lamb (grilled)
Lobster Tail (broiled)
Stuffed Potatoes
Fresh Green Beans

I think MIL is making rum balls and a trifle for dessert. I think she is also making some appetizers.

Christmas Dinner will just be DH and me, I think I am going to make baked spaghetti (homemade sauce) and turkey meatballs with some garlic bread and a nice salad.

Meatballs in cream of mushroom soup
Cocktail wieners in barbecue sauce
Sliced ham
Cheesy potatoes
Dinner rolls with butter
Vegetable & dip tray
Fruit kabobs (pineapple, mandarin orange, maraschino cherry)
Hickory stick, Havarti cheese and sweet pickle kabobs
Pickled bologna, hickory stick, cheeses and cracker tray
Ham and cream cheese roll-ups
Pumpkin roll
Dessert (not sure what yet)
Christmas candy and decorated cookie tray
Punch, pop, iced tea

This is all served buffet style.

It will be just the four of us plus my FIL. I have absolutely no idea what I am going to do, yet.

Denae

Honey Baked Ham
Cranberry meatballs
Brocolli cheese stuffing
mashed potatoes
stewed tomatoes
corn (kids HAVE to have plain old corn with their potatoes)
rolls
lots of desserts!

I make mine with cranberry sauce. They are almost the same flavor. It is a family favorite!

Shrimp cocktail christmas tree
Devilled Eggs
Meatballs w/ bbq and Jelly (DIS)
spanikopita (spinach, feta wrapped in phillo)
Southern Comfort punch

Beef tenderloin/horseradish sauce
mashed potates/gravy
green bean cassorole
some sort of pasta
crunchy bread

what ever desserts any one is bringing.

We have the same meal every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas:

Roasted turkey
Oyster dressing
Sweet potato casserole (praline topping)
Stuffed merlitons
Broccoli casserole
cranberry sauce
crescent rolls

(For those going what???, merlitons are a vegetable, green, shaped like a pear. I cut them in half, boil them till tender, scoop out the "meat" of it, then add all to sauted onions, boiled shrimp, bread crumbs, and spicy seasoning to taste. It is soooo good and we get them twice a year...Thanksgiving and Christmas)
