Post Your ADRs: September 2009 ADR Master List!

Well, now I'm kinda cranky! LOL I called the day before I was able to book and ask a few specific questions about two of the restaurants and before hanging up I asked the CM what time I was allowed to call and make ADR's the next day and he told me NINE AM!!! So I waited until 9 to call!!!!!!

Ours are as follows:

Tues 9/15: Chef Mickey's 7:45AM
Wed 9/16: 50's Prime Time Cafe 4:15 (wanted between 5-5:30)
Thurs 9/17: Crystal Palace 5:00
Friday 9/18: HDDR 7:15

I guess I shouldn't be upset. At least with an early dinner we could probably get back to the resort before dark and I could do laundry on Wednesday (we will have already been away from home for 5 days at that point due to our first stop to visit family in Ft Lauderdale)

We really liked the Wave but it is very much an Adult Resturant. Its very quiet and has great decor but the menu doesnt have many options for kids depending on their age. On a side note im sure there is a kids menu but looking at your avatar picture you kids might be past the kids menu?

Got some of them today, not happy with new system at all.

I live in AZ, so i had to get up at 3:45 am to call when they open at 4 am.

Cant use online dining yet, since we are dvc members, it wont pull up our reservations at all, so we have to be at 90 days or under to use online system-Seems like us dvc members are now being penalized for this.

Called right at 4 am, was on hold about 15 mins-i felt that was not bad at all. Had a great castmember.

On arrival date, we are doing MNSSHP right after we fly in and land at 4:15, so we are only doing QS that night.

Was able to make:

9/26-Chef Mickeys 8:50 pm(a lot later than we wanted, but at least we got it the day we wanted-she said we may be able to just show up early and get seated earlier since we have res. Have tried in the past and it did work)

9/27-Coral Reef 11:45 am-Perfect
1900 Park Fare 7:10 pm-just a touch later than wanted, but still fine with it.

Was now very unhappy with system and again feel like as dvc members we are being penalized. We are on 2 reservations, one for 2 nights, the next for 6 nights. Was unable to book past 9/27 since we check in on new reservation on 9/27 and stay until 10/3, so even though we are staying 8 nights, we could only book first couple of nights and now i have to get up early again on monday-before going to work-and call again for the rest of them and see if any are left. In the past, we have always been able to book the +10 with split stays, so since we are with dvc, the system wont pull up our reservation or let us do the +10, so again, i feel like we are now being penalized for this.

I have actually been on vacation this last week, knowing I had to get up and make our res today at 4 am, which was fine and planned, but now that I have to go back to work on monday, I now have to be up early again, call again, and then leave for work, not a great way to start the week.

Disney needs to get all the bugs out of the system before releasing it to the public so its fair to all!

Not too bad - however not the real hard ones to get either!

the kids are 12 and 9 (dd19 will not be with us) so one will be on the kids menu.

I am going back and forth over this...it's driving me crazy!!! So to make a short story longer....we are planning on TL this day (Mon 9/28) Not planning on going to any major parks this day excpet perhaps to Epcot for Teppan Edo dinner. But then I'm thinking "what if TL is a bust due to weather and we are stuck going to Epcot for the day because we have a reservation at Teppan Edo?" We will have full Epcot day here the next day. If we can't do TL on Monday because it is bad weather, I would rather choose another park for the day than Epcot.

I wish I could make both reservations then just decide when we know how our day will go, but I know that would be wrong, wrong wrong to do

OMG, so I just got off the phone with Disney, and thankfully got almost everything I wanted when I wanted it. I was a bit nervous, since we're on DxDP and had soooo many ressies to make. Our trip is Sept 25th - Oct 6th, so I do still have to call tomorrow to make our last day of ressies. However, no major tweeks to the plan had to be made, which was great, and here's what I ended up with:

We are a party of 8, so I knew it would be a little trickier too. I had to be very flexible when we called this morning. I started dialing the phone at 6:59:45 and clicked "send" at 7:00:00 according to the official atomic clock online. I actually didn't even get put on hold! I got a CM right away! Yay! After 23 minutes, got 11 ADRs.

I ALSO COULDN'T GET ONLINE THIS MORNING! I got up at 5:55am on a Saturday to get ADRs online sharply at 6am, and I ended up having to wait until 7am to make the phone call anyway. How frustrating!

We got some awkward times too, but I asked for other days for those restaurants and got better.
