Yup, no bueno
The 2BR are all over; what view did you book? If Preferred, you can be looking at either pool (Luna Park or the quiet pool) or at the Croquet Lawn, with views across to Swolphin. If Resort, you might have a fantastic view of the Skyliner, the front porte cochere, or even the Tower of Terror. If Boardwalk view, well, that's self-explanatory, and most 2BR BW view are a long, long walk down the hall from the elevators.Just snagged a 2-bedroom for our stay at the end of summer. Any stuff I should get excited about? I've stayed here before but 1st time in a 2-bedroom. Are they in particular part of the DVC wing or all over?
It is a resort view so thank you for that overview! The last time we were at Boardwalk we had a room close to Hollywood Studios so I will just have to request something closer. It felt like forever and a day to get down the hall! The 2BR are all over; what view did you book? If you get one with a view of the quiet pool, you'll be halfway to DHS if you use the exit door to the walkway along the canal.
All 2BR at BWV are lockoffs, so the second bedroom will have a queen bed, a queen Murphy bed, and a single Murphy bed as well as a kitchenette and its own door to the hallway.
What else do you want to know?
Thought it was just the room we were in.Is there a secret to not getting these ridiculously shaped showers to not leak all over the bathroom floor?
Admittedly I haven’t stayed in dvc yet but almost every shower I’ve had across the Disney hotels has got the floor wet. You wouldn’t think it was that hard to install showers to avoid this, as surely it causes maintenance issues eventually.I think it’s all of their weirdly shaped showers in the villas. I pull the door to make sure that it’s closed but water seems to seep out onto the floor and soak the shower mat….
In that case, request “close to elevators.” You’ll overlook the front porte cochere, but the walk will be as short as possible. It is a resort view so thank you for that overview! No it’s terrible we couldn’t even fit a frozen pizza in the freezer. We thought maybe it was just our villa. Are we, as an ownership group, OK with this being the refrigerator in the villas? View attachment 1059476
This is in a Grand Villa…..I have never had a refrigerator like that in all my Boardwalk stays (and I'm there 2-4 times a year). I always stay in 1-bedroom villas, Preferred or Boardwalk view, and the fridge always fills in the entire width of the space, and fits a frozen pizza just fine. I've never seen a skinny fridge that doesn't fill in the entire space like that...I definitely wouldn't be happy with it if I got a room with that.
Ours was a standard view, the 1-bedroom side of the lockoff. I wonder if they randomly installed them if/when they ran out of regular sized ones? Crazy they’d put a small one in a grand villa if they had a choice. If we ever get a small one again I’ll definitely ask. This is in a Grand Villa…..
PLEASE report it to front desk (in person) and email MS via the member website too. I hope that was just a temporary fill-in for a broken fridge! This is in a Grand Villa…..
