post ur packing tips here

(Take out all those extra clothes, and use the space for extra film and money)

Bring:

Water shoes; highlighters for navigators; 2 swimsuits (wear one, dry the other); plastic bags; an empty water bottle for each person; small bills for postage on CC; tropical outfit; hat; gallons of sunblock-that's it for now--have to run and let the dog in!

Take Care

Don't forget the over the door shoe holder. Yes, I forgot mine!

We always back an empty duffle bag. Unpack it once we get to the room and put it in the closet as a laundry bag. We normally don't do laundry on the cruise but take all the dirty clothes home in this which leaves plenty of room in the regular suitcase for souvineers and new things we've bought like t-shirts, polo shirts, and our cc gift beach towel.

What do you use the water shoes for? Are there rocks on the beaches?

Rocks and shells and other stuff--hot sand!!!!--I think I would have been fine, but I was glad I had my water shoes--particularly at CC.

Do not take extra shoes "just in case"! Learn to improvise with a limited amount.

Make sure you leave room for souviners! :)

Take along your oldest, yuckiest underwear, socks, and nightgowns. After you've worn them -- throw them away! Voila! Your closet at home is cleaned out, and you have room for souveniers in your suitcase.

I had three boys ages 5, 7 and 10 with all of us sharing a cat 4 cabin. To make dressing easier in the mornings, I packed each child's clothes in plastic ziplock bags. Each bag contained a shirt, shorts and underwear (socks were in a seprate bag since most days they wore sandals and didn't need them). Each morning all I had to do is give each boy a bag, and they had everything they needed! Made life so much easier while on the ship! There was a little more prep work when packing, but it was well worth it! I didn't hear mom where's my shirt etc. once for an entire week!!!

This is a off-topic, but I'll throw it in:

Last summer my daughter went to sleep away camp for the first time, and I did just what another poster mentioned: I packed all her outfits in ziplock bags. She told me later that other girls had trouble in the bathhouse during shower time -- they'd put their things on the bench in the middle, but by the time they got out of the shower, other people had walked by and knocked their clothes onto the wet floor. She was the only girl who had dry clothes every day.
