Post pics of your bag you carry into park

My daughter has the North Face Node. We both like it because it is small, relatively flat and very easy to carry across the body. It has a good pocket on the backside that is perfect for park maps. It also has pockets on the inside. I found one on ebay in a discontinued color. Ebags has good pictures of the back and inside.

My favorite bag is a very small black backpack that I bought at Target for $7.99 probably 10 or 15 years ago. I like it so well that it is my every day purse for part of the year. I have seen the same backpac recently at Walmart, in the travel section with luggage.

I posted the link to the fossil keaton crossbody a few posts up. I LOVE it. The strap is adjustable to any length...long, short or anywhere inbetween. It holds so much and is not heavy or uncomfortable. I am using it daily until it is time to pack for our trip. I love the outside pockets on the front and back. The inside has so much room and I can put lots in there. The neutral color is what I wanted and it goes with everything!

I am waiting for my Overland Equipment Placer to arrive... but still wondering about taking a purse of any kind into the park.... will I miss the hands free feeling that my fanny pack always gave me?

Even using the cross body- will I still feel like I am lugging something?

Will I be hot if I use it cross body? (hate the attack of the hot flashes)

Luckily :confused3 I have a while to go so can try it out and see how I like it- despite hating the fanny pack look... I admit to loving the ease... keeping my fingers crossed that I love the OE Placer... especially since they are on markdown and I got a 20% off email so could get another!! :thumbsup2

Well, I finally got my red Baggallini Messenger Bagg and I love the color! I was surprised at how flimsy it seems though. There are lots of pockets and places to store stuff, but when I put two water bottles in it it becomes mishapen. I think I prefer a more 'solid' fabric like canvas.

I guess I did get what I paid for...I paid $19.30 for the least expensive fabric...and that's how it seems. I might wind up taking my backup bag. It's a sling backpack alot like the L.L.Bean Turbo Sling. I'd hate to be stuck without a bag in the middle of my trip.

I just don't think the Baggallini will survive my trip. :sad2:

I have this very same bag. I use it everyday at the moment. I bought the smaller version in 06, in a green, my son used it as an ammo bag playing soldiers. So I bought myself another one. I love this bag. I used in at Disney in Aug when we were hit with Faye. It held up perfectly. Even when we were drenched everything in my bag was dry. It might seem flimsly but this is really a great bag.

Now I'm rethinking whether I'll bring along my Baggallini with me as an option, in case I don't like carrying around my ameribag for some reason.... btw, where did you get that microfiber towel??? I'd like to add that to my backpack filled with supplies!

Ive been trying on bags and have tried everything form $5 at WalMart to a $55 Baggalini. I stumbled on this at Lands End and loved it before I realized it was a diaper bag.
It has 2 outer pockets for bottles, a decent size main compartment (camera, etc), a front zip wallet area with a bungee key fob (great for ID's, etc), and a back pocket for maps or whatever.
The strap is long enough to wear as a sling or it could be a shoulder bag. And it's a simple black bag so DH can carry it too.
And I plan to attach my trading pins to either the strap or the bag itself.

Love that Land's End bag! I think I might have to order it for my next trip.:) Please give us a review after you use it.:)

One quick question...is the changing pad attached to the bag or can I leave it at home? (or cut it off?)

I have a Vera Bradley large backpack and hipster that I normally use and love, but boy do those Baggalinni look compfy!

Well I just ordered the hipster in Peacock yesterday! I can't wait to get it! DH thinks VB bags are so ugly...oh well. I got the wristlet 2 days ago and LOVE IT already so I'm sure I'll love the hipster as well. ::yes:: It just feels so soft and comfortable, and like you said I really wanted something light too. Since we are going in August/Sept I didn't want something hanging on my back in that heat so I thought this would be a good alternative. LOVE the fact that you can wash them too!:thumbsup2

I have the Hipster in Peacock too LOL! I have used it on two WDW trips, and it works great. I love the cross-body styles. So much more comfortable than a tote bag over the shoulder. Another great thing about it is that I don't even have to remove it for most rides.:wizard:

the changing pad and 'dirty duds' bag are seperate pieces. I tossed the changing pad, but kept the zipper bag. I'm sure I can use it for something...I was thinking sun block, hand gel, and whatever else I carry that I wouldnt want opening and spilling on the other stuff in the bag.

I have a Harijukui (LAMB) bag. It's a hipster ( goes across shoulder) and it's water proof. I got it at TJ Maxx for 20 bucks. It's wicked cute. It was great at the parks. It fit 2 ponchos, camera, wallet, 2 sets of sunglasses and my cell phone.
