Post pics of your bag you carry into park

Building 19 has some good bags for sale. We went today and got a Swiss Army sling backpack for $12. It's super comfy, but a little big so we won't bring it into the parks with us. Still, it will be good for the plane ride down.

I FINALLY found a purse I like and ordered it. I read this entire thread this weekend- looked at all the purses, looked thru ebags, etc. I like some things about most of the bags I saw- the Vera Bradley Hipster is nice but I wanted a solid color and couldn't find the microfiber. The Baggalini is just not me because I don't carry that much into the parks. I found this bag on the Fossil website- it looks similar to the Hipster, is a nice kahki color and is the size I need. Will update once it arrives.

Well, I finally got my red Baggallini Messenger Bagg and I love the color! I was surprised at how flimsy it seems though. There are lots of pockets and places to store stuff, but when I put two water bottles in it it becomes mishapen. I think I prefer a more 'solid' fabric like canvas.

I guess I did get what I paid for...I paid $19.30 for the least expensive fabric...and that's how it seems. I might wind up taking my backup bag. It's a sling backpack alot like the L.L.Bean Turbo Sling. I'd hate to be stuck without a bag in the middle of my trip.

I just don't think the Baggallini will survive my trip. :sad2:

Okay! I now hate the DIS because I have decided that I need a new bag to take with me!!! And I'm going to justify it to my hubby by saying the DIS (he call the DIS a Cult) recommend all the great bags! I did have a big diaper bag last year so I will need a bag to tote stuff around with!! :cool1:

You are going to love your VB bag... I just tracked my Daisy daisy hipster and it's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow (4 days earlier than stated by ebags :woohoo: )... I can't wait to check it out! I am completely addicted to the hipsters - I just can't get over how nice they are to carry! :thumbsup2

D~

Just ordered ny Overland Equipment Placer bag based on many recommendations on here. Found that Sierra Trading Post has them marked for clearance at $18 (vs $35 on ebags). Limited colors but I wanted black and they had it still.
I am so excited that I finally committed to a bag.:cool1: Now, we'll see if I join the many who love this bag- thanks for the input!

:tigger: I got my Overland Donner bag today! WOO! I love it already. It's exactly the size and setup I needed, and I love love the plum color. My LGMH's will look super cute on it! :)

No digi camera or I'd post some pics of it stuffed with park stuff.

YAY and TY to everyone who rec'd this bag :)

Just came back from a three week vacation and loved, loved, loved this bag. It can be used as a shoulder bag and a waistpack or just a shoulder bag or just a waistpack (the waiststrap slips inside a pocket---the shoulder straps comes off)---the versatility is great! It easily held all the personal items I needed plus a not so small camera, guidebook, snacks plus 2 water bottles when needed. Great bag!!

I didn't read anywhere if you were able to take any of these bags on the rides with you??

I would like to know I could just put something on and go not have to keep taking it on and off all day

Tpettie, I keep the OE Placer on during rides, unless there's a net bag (like Expedition Everest), and I know it's going to be bumpy and I don't want it bouncing around on my hip. It's a pretty small bag, so it doesn't bother me to leave it on.

They made me put it in a locker on the Men in Black ride at Universal one day. The next day, on the same ride, they waved me through two different times.

I just ordered two waist packs, but I saw this one and didn't order it because I thought it couldn't hold a water bottle in the side mesh pockets .... do they fit? Thanks!

Actually we have found not carrying a huge bag works best for us. We have 3 small kids. So we pack a few ziplock gallon bags with 1 diaper/pullup per child with small ziplock with wipes and throw it into the bottom of the stroller. This has worked well for us, that way you don't have to open all the zippers and stuff for security. Although we do have a small fanny pack for pin trading.

Not this past trip but the one before we took a rolling book-bag and hooked it to the back of the stroller. We set it on the frame of the basket and ran the handle up through the stroller handle. That worked pretty well for us too, at that time my twins were only 8 months old so we needed a TON of stuff!

My purse arrived today. At first I thought it was too big but after taking all the stuffing out it appears to be a good size. It has an adjustable strap so I can make it any length I want...crossbody or shoulder. The front has a pocket and so does the back. The main area is nice and big. I was one who origianlly thought no bag or small, small purse. After thinking of what I am going to have to take and trying to budgetize I now know I want room for a water bottle, snacks, etc. This is about the same size as the hipster but more neutral in color since it is solid kahki. I can get the rain ponchos in if it looks like rain, camera can go in, etc. I plan on using it this weekend and will see if I really like it for organization, etc.

I just found MY perfect bag at the Goodwill for $2.50!!:rotfl:

It looks brand new! Lots of zippered pockets, a very long strap to go over shoulder or across body, and 2 velcroed cell phone pockets on the inside. One zipper pull has a swan (Gloria Vanderbilt?) on it.

I've spent so much money, and returned so many bags. I've looked almost everyday at the resale places and to think I'd find my perfect bag the day before we leave....and for only $2.50!! :woohoo:

Wow Kevenswife that's awesome! :cool1: I've actually never been to the Goodwill by my house, but check in at the one down in Florida by my mom's every year and always find at least one really great bargain :)

Thanks for those pics of your Baggallini! It definitely helps to see one packed up. Now I know I made the right choice getting one.:)

on my upcoming trip (assuming that hurricane IKE doesn't mess things up) i'm going to try to ONLY carry my pin bag. it's a medium size pin holder with one small zipper on the outside. that will hold my cell phone, room key, credit cards, some cash.
