Does everone get this, my family is a bit depressed. Maybe its because we were at Epcot on a great 75 degree day and now Weds we get 4-6 inches of March snow. We had such a great trip so its good to look back on!! :(

The best way to get over post Disney depression is to plan your next trip! :rotfl:

Well, if it's any comfort... I'm suffering with you. It's been about 4 weeks now and I really want to go back. My sister and I are planning a big family & friends trip for summer 2007. I don't know if I can wait that long.

We've been back since early December... my only relief is the DIS and pricing airline tickets & hotel rooms, but not making any financial commitments.

its been 2 YEARS, AND I'M STILL DEPRESSED

with NO TRIP in sight!

:(

:teeth:

i have a serious case of disney depression

I agree with lovepooh, the minute I leave Disney I am planning my next trip. That always keeps the depression away.

I thought people on these boards were TOTTALLY CRAZY when I was reading about Post Trip Depression before we got back from our last trip.(December) And now..omg, I am soooo "Post Tripping..." lol I also think that planning another vacation makes the woes go away. And watching our vacation video and looking at our pictures helps too. My dd will dress up like the characters that she met and will come out and sign autographs for me. *her idea, too cute..she is 4 in april.* they grow up too fast! Anyway.. Plan another trip..anyone else think that Disney is the only place they can forget about EVERYTHING else and just ENJOY!??!!

The best way to get over POST DISNEY DEPRESSION or PDD ( :rotfl: ) is to first: PLAN another trip and quickly get the ticker up under your name on the DISBoards, second: get your pictures all printed and in a photo album to look at DAILY and third: Put in a Disney CD, either Spectromagic or Wishes (your choice)!!!

p.s. I am with you, got my refridge stocked and the shovel is handy!!! :crazy2:

We've been to WDW every summer for the last 5 summers and the post-Disney depression gets worse every time. In fact, the post-Disney depression actually now starts DURING the tail end of the trip..."This is the last time we'll see this...this is the last time we'll do this, etc."

Now that it's March, I would be getting hyped about our next summer trip. But this year we're switching to a late November/early Dec. trip, so we have a LONG wait ahead of us.

Actually, the best time (without actually being in the World) is about the last month BEFORE you get there--the anticipation really mounts. Right now, I have to settle for just being giddy that we reached 40 degrees today.

Hope your post Disney depression subsides soon!

Somehow I'm posting under my daughter's moniker (perfectpluto10). Just for clarity purposes this is a FARGOMAN post--not that anyone cares.

That sounds like us! As the trip winds down and D Day (departure day) looms, we all begin to get sad! In fact, we always book our favorite adr's at the beginning when we have more days ahead than behind us! Our last full day is almost depressing which makes no sense whatsoever! And I also agree the month before is a lot of fun too. As I get the suitcases out, begin to pack, the anticipation just mounts!

To the OP, start planning another trip, its the only way to stop the post Disney blues!

I deal with my Post Disney Depression by planning to plan a trip (I don't know when I'll go but I look at all kinds of possible trips and dream). I have also gone to Disney on Ice for a mini-fix. Visiting the DISboards helps a bit too. You can also look at the restaurant menus and plan where you would get an ADR to next whenever you go to WDW next. Oh helping someone else plan a trip is fun too.

I think this happens to everyone when you get back. The best way to get over it is to start talking and planning your next trip. Just talking about Disney helps.

:moped: Me escaping to WDW!!!

I usually start getting depressed 2 days before having to leave, at that point I start planning my next trip. On the first trip to Walt Disney World, my son started to cry as waiting for the ME bus to come which in turn made me even sadder.   :confused3

Ughhh, I've been feeling the PDD for the entire winter :rotfl: . I haven't been to the World since September and I often find myself mysteriously twitching and finger tappin' while day dreaming of sunny, wonderful Disney! If I wasn't spending hours a day planning, re-planning and planning again for our next trip and checking the new posts on the DISboards every few hours, I don't know what I would do. I think this should be an official disorder because at this point I'm even beginning to miss Disney water :lmao: . So, shall we form a support group?!?

I've been back for about 2-3 weeks and im already looking to go back...Been planning my next trip since my last days in disney !!!! My dh has vacation coming up in june and some family members were thinking about going to vegas and asked us if we wanted to come i was pricing the trip and it was alot of $$$ and im like for this money i could be going to disney !!!! Bleh who knows maybe ill be there in october/nov for food and wine festival thats what im hoping for !

That is really what I hate the most about going to WDW....getting back to everyday life with nothing to plan. Most of us plan months in advance so it kind of becomes like a way of life. What do you do when you are so used to doing this and you don't need to anymore? Really hard.

My Jan 2006 trip seems soooo far away. Getting back to snow and cold is even harder. Feels like it's been winter forever.

I agree about planning another trip. But you gotta have the$$$$ to do that.

This weekend we will put together the photo book and that will help, not sure when we will get back. We went 2001,2002,2003 and 2006 so the next one, maybe 2008 or 2009.

I so agree with you. We came back from WDW in early December. DH says no trip there this year,... plan for 2007. I don't know if I can wait that long :Pinkbounc Three different people where I work are going in the next 5 months, so I try to live vicariously through them :rotfl2:
