Post about your pets

We have 2 cats we rescued from the Humane Society. They are both very social and love to have company visit.

Lelu is 6. We got her 2 years ago and is quite the 'lady', she's very well groomed, hates to get dirty or wet and has very good mannars. She loves to play with potatos. :confused3

Max is 1. We got him a few months ago as a friend for Lelu. He loves to rough house, strangely loves to play in water, and likes to play catch. He also loves to purr into my ear while I'm sleeping. He tends to get into trouble often while Lelu watches him with disaproving looks. This weekend he ate some petals off my tulips, and then knocked over the vase. :sad2:

My cats are like my kids to me (since I don't have any yet). They bring a lot of joy to our lives. I don't know what I'd do without them.

This is our dog, Maggie. She is a Miniature Schnauzer and will be 10 years old on July 5. She looks a bit scruffy because I groom her myself and haven't done it in a while. She is allergic to basically everything and is on a special and expensive diet. She sleeps in our bed, usually on the pillows.

When we go on vacation, we try to get the grandparents to watch her. On the occasions that both sets of grandparents go with us, she stays in a kennel.
I tried to make the picture smaller, but couldn't

Next is Red (yawning) a rescue, Nick also a rescue, named Just in the Nick of Time as he was on the brink of being euthanized and he was by far the best behaved dog we ever had, (Both have since passed away- Red was shot he was a fence climber, and Nick from cancer) and thats Hot Rod again

Next is Marcus, he is my baby. He is dressed up for a stray animal benefit and he won first place with his costume.

Your "beast" is awesome, I was admiring his photo last evening.

I have three cats and six turtles.

Euri is nearly 3 years old. She was feral and had a horrible eye infection. I took her in and now she's my queen!

I got Emelia from another teacher. She's nearly two and was diagnosed with feline leukemia in November 2004. She had an attack this past Sunday that had us at the emergency vet's at 1 in the morning, but she's seems to be pulling through.

Annie is 1. She still acts like the baby that she was treated as when I adopted her.

The turtles are Benjamin, Elijah, Hagrid, Hortense, Ebenezer, and Simon. They live in three 55-gallon tanks. They don't really don't seem to care what happens to them as long as food is tossed in.

We have Ted, a great English Springer Spaniel. He is almost 12, and while he's slowed down a bit these past couple of years, he's till quite handsome...distinguished I would say.

We got him at 10 months old from a fmaily who could no longer keep him for various reasons but loved him very much and wanted him to have a good home.

Since we couldn't have children, he is our baby. He couldn't be more loved and has brought us an untold amount of joy.

When we go away, he goes to the "Bed & Breakfast" AKA my parents house. They love having him, he has the run of the house, they have a fenced in yard.

Ted has a good life.

Very Cute pictures everyone! I'm especially partial to Brodie ;) and not just because he's my "nephew" :teeth:

Zoey is my lab/German Sheppard/chow/little evil dog mix. We got her 7 years ago this coming March from the ASPCA. I wanted her and my son to grow up together and love each other.

Zoey is a water lover...except for the rain, go figure. In the summer we can't keep her out of the lake or stop her from chasing sprinklers but heaven forbid it rain, she'll "hold it" until it stops raining :lmao: crazy dog! But we love her very much.

A little over a year ago we adopted a Golden Retriever from a Houston area rescue group.
As I write this she is busy trying to figure out how to climb on my lap with my computer. :)

See my signature for her photo.

These are my girls, Belle and Gidget. Belle is the Shih tzu and she will be nine years old in March. Gidget is the Maltease and she will be 3 years old in July. Belle is the sweetest dog, so good, she's the best. Gidget is the jealous nudge, requires a lot of attention, but we still love her. :teeth:

I absolutely love all the stories and beautiful animal pictures!! :goodvibes Hercules :thumbsup2

Well I have posted pictures of my dogs on various threads so I can pull some off Photobucket to show here.

This "little girl" is my almost two year old dog named Liesl. She adores the kids and thinks she's one of them. ;) Liesl was a present from my family just as I was finishing chemotherapy for breast cancer. I was very sad because one of my beloved dogs had just died and the other was almost 13.

As a 10 week old pup Liesl and my kids came to the radiation center with me every day (per orders of the wacky staff there, LOL) and while I was in the machine I'd be listening to all the commotion outside the room - yipping, laughing, screaming, etc. That was quite a summer. :teeth: She came at a very difficult time in my life but she always kept me on my toes. I had hoped to do therapy work with her but in her own way she's already done it with me. We call her Crazy but she's truly a sweetheart.

These dogs are the brother/sister pair I had for many years. We lost the second dog last year, but he was still here when Liesl arrived. They were such a big part of my life for so long, I still can't believe they're gone. In the picture the dogs are around 6 yo and the twins were 5 weeks old.

Cody loved everyone and everything.

Kayla loved a dip in the pool on hot summer days. :sunny:

Cody lost the use of his rear legs at 13 but was not in pain and still had the will to go on. And after what I'd just gone through, I didn't have the heart to put him to sleep (he was both an agility and frisbee dog in his youth). So we got him some wheels instead :cheer2: and once again he could enjoy his daily walks with us. We could not have asked for a better dog than Cody.

Pets bring a special something into our lives, don't they? paw:

My dog dexter has to kiss ON THE LIPS. No matter what he will pin you down and figure out a way to get your right on the kisser. It's :rotfl2: but it's also gross!!!
I  him.

I've got a girl for you!!! ;) - Her name even goes with your boys... Maia - she was 1 year in December. She would fit right in! Such a busy little girl. Her ears are "broke" they never stood up......

Too funny! Our Princess likes to do that too. She loves the car, and stands with her back paws on the backseat, and front paws on the console upfront. She mostly only goes for short rides to drop DD off at school or McDs or Petsmart.... but anyway - whenever I stop at a light, and turn my head to talk to her - she plants one right on my lips - ewwwww.....

People in other cars get a kick out of my co-pilots - the yorkie with her head out the driver window and the big dog out the back..... Yes I know this is not the best thing for them - but it is only for short - low speed rides. Maia scared the wits out of the girl at the DD drive thru window this morning when I went for coffee!!! They will knock us over trying to get to the garage in the morning to get to the car!!!

I love my babies too!!!

My siggy has pictures of my neurotic but lovable kitties, who, BTW, I am allergic to @@
