I see some pet related threads and some cute pet pictures in sig lines. Tell us your pets! Also, what do you do with your furry friends when you travel?
We have an Australian Shepherd MIX named Molly. She is about 2 years old. She was rescued from a city pound (right before she was due to be put down) by a rescue organization. We got her from them. She is funny, playful, and great with the kids. We've had her for a little over a year now.
Molly stays at a kennel when we travel. Our previous dog (had her for over 10 years) used to have a dog sitter come to the house 3 times/day while we were away. She was too nervous around other dogs to leave at a kennel. Molly is more OK at the kennel than she would be home alone.
She wears a Walt Disney World collar and has a bandana that says "My human went to Walt Disney World and all I got was this lousy bandana."

for her. It's an actual room rather than a run and she does much better in it because she doesn't hear all of the noise and other stuff going on. It's got a doggie door to a private grassy area and webcam so we can check on her. I feel better about leaving her there but I still am always very glad to get home and pick her up!

Last summer while we were on vacation DD and I kept talking about how much we missed him and worried that he was okay. We were only gone for 5 days, and this year we will be making our first trip to Disney World and will be there for 9 days. Hope we don't spend the whole time feeling guilty. Are we the only ones that feel like that?
Very sad.
aka Lovey Girl. She literally showed up on our doorstep one day at the age of 2 1/2 months with a broken foot and terrible ear mites.
). We live in a very wooded area of NY state and have at least one rabies attack a year. After 10 days, out she came, off to the vet, and she has been our baby ever since. She is a muted calico which means only the tip of her hairs have color. She is a joy to us. We are so whipped by this cat. Our son is 17 so she has become our little girl, a bit friekish I guess, but she's a cutie
